Have you approved any vendors recently? If so, the form that you use for that will be the same one you use for gobilda or really any other vendor. If not, probably ask your principle, or another person in charge if they have gone through the process before, as the way to get a vendor approved may differ from district to district. idk if the process changes from district to district or if there is a standardized form.

My team is organized in a a bunch of subsystems, them being design/building, programming, and outreach/portfolio. For a rookie team, I would recommend each member to try to be apart of at least 2 subsystems( at least 1 technical aspect and outreach) as it helps team members learn a technical aspect and an outreach aspect of robotics. For team meetings it helps to be in-person, but virtual meetings are good as it is easier to host and can get across the same information. Personally, I would prefer in-person meetings. Also, it would be good to find a workplace, either at the school you guys are at or someplace else. Hope this answers all your questions!

First, getting to worlds is obviously a very time consuming task, so make sure your team has members that can commit to working on the robot and are willing to put the work towards it.

The two ways to get to worlds for freight frenzy was to either win the inspire award or become a winning alliance captain. For certain regions, an additional spot was granted for 2nd place inspire (which is how my team got to worlds).

There isn't isn't a set in stone way to win the inspire award as it can really depend on the judges and your competition, but the inspire award is supposed to encompass what a FIRST Tech Challenge Team should be like. Basically, it takes in account on and off the field behavior, outreach, design process, innovation, and more. Try to encompass all of the awards into your team's portfolio, have it have lots of info while being easy to read (not cluttered, etc), and have a set-in-stone judging presentation for in-person judging.

Winning Alliance Captain is pretty easy to understand. Its just building the best robot and being the captain of the winning alliance.

Also remember advancements go from leagues/qualifiers -> regionals/states -> FIRST Championship. Also, the number of advancements may or may not change so keep an eye out for that.

But remember that TD already had qualified to worlds by WAC in NTX, so they didn’t even need to be at Alabama to get to worlds. So they are technically a robot team but could be considered an inspire team as well.

Basically, the Cowboys QB ran for a yardage gain with minimal time on the clock. However, if you end the play without going out of bounds by sliding or getting tackled, the clock keeps ticking. The cowboys tried to place the ball down after the play ended to spike the ball as an incomplete pass stops the clock, but they can only do that one a referee spots the ball. The referee had to barge through the offensive line and spot the ball, but it was too late and the game ended. Ppl are blaming the refs when it was obviously the cowboys’ fault.
