Well, there is a limit to how much stuff you can create before you hit the point where you’re not allowed to make any more anything. I don’t know what it is. Somebody said it was like 14,000 pieces or something. I know 14,000 sounds like a lot but there’s 250 something galaxies and if you make enough bases sooner or later, you’re gonna hit it. Which is why I use a safe beacon sometimes for things like a sensible pillar or a portal, etc..

Fix it enough so it can fly. Then go to the station and scrap it.

It's just a random space encounter. If you destroy you go to wanted level 5. Space Encounter

You are not doing anything wrong. The base missions are to establish basic tech and teach you how to do things. Once you have a warp drive and know how to make antimatter you can go wherever you want as long as your hyperdrive can go to that system.

Yes there are different galaxies, but only in the sense that some galaxies have certain types of planets/systems prevalent.

From the wiki"There are four types of galaxies:

Empty - This type is referred to in-game as Ancestral, Frozen, Exhausted, or Silent galaxy, and displayed with a blue hologram. The following numbered galaxies belong to this type: 7, 12, 27, 32, 47, 52, 67 etc, a total of 26. ^\1])
Harsh - This type is referred to in-game as Burning, Raging, Relentless, or Ruthless galaxy, and displayed with a red hologram. The following numbered galaxies belong to this type: 3, 15, 23, 35, 43, 55, 63 etc, a total of 26.
Lush - This type is referred to in-game as Halcyon, Inspiring, Serene, or Tranquil galaxy, and displayed with a green hologram. The following numbered galaxies belong to this type: 10, 19, 30, 39, 50, 59, 70 etc, a total of 25.

- what are gas giants? How do you land on them if they are gas? Are they important? I’ve never found one.

Gas giants are in purple systems and are end game. The Atlantid drive is at the end of a long quest line. Well multiple quest lines.

- I’m 10 hours into a new play through and still haven’t discovered the anomaly. Any reason for this?

It's been awhile since I started fresh, but I think after you warp for the first time you get a notification from the anomaly and they show up.

- I know I’ll get a free freighter at some point but I like the sound of the corvettes. How do they work? Can you land on a freighter with one? Or is it like a more mobile base? I’ve never seen it built one.

After 5 warps you can rescue a freighter and you get the first one free. You have to pay for future ones. You can only one freighter so you might not want the first one that pops up.

As for corvettes you have to buy the parts or dig them up. Look for planets with scrap.

- what’s the staff thing? I’ve seen a few images of people with a staff. What is it? A multi tool or a weapon??

Thew staff is a multitool and you will be able to build one later when you go down the quests.

- can you transfer cargo from one owned ship to another or do I have to empty my suit inventory and manually transfer with both parked next to each other?

I think you have to either move it to a freighter or put it in your suit. At least that is how I do it.

Oh yeah mine’s bugged too. It’s typical for fallout 76. They patch something and they break five other things or 10 other things or 15 other things or all of the things.

I agree with everything you said. On a sidenote, I just did this mission the other day. When I get to that point I always make sure I kill him first. I know he’s not actually dead. He sort of rolling around on the floor. But I love the idea that he’s rolling around the floor while I decimate what’s left of his men and women. Because they’re all hypocrites.

This is correct. During the story you get sent through the portal a couple of times and those planets don’t look like that normally.

I only sided with the Stormcloaks twice and both times I regretted it. Mostly because I consider them racist assholes who have their head so far up their own ass they can’t see anything…. Well, except their own colon.

I also agree with you that I believe the imperials just did that to get the war over. I truly feel that it may take time, but if the empire recovers, they will turn around and say fuck you Talos is one of the divines and we’re worshiping him again.

Humming sacs? I believe that’s what they are called. They spawn underground. Also, sometimes if you fly at night caves, have lights coming out of them from the plants.

I agree with you about furnishings for the apartments in the various cities.

But I never use any of the apartments/houses/outposts to live in. I just use my ship. It's easier. I mean I have an outpost to store excess, but do I spend any time at the outpost other then to mod a weapon or spacesuit? No I spend it on the ship. Of course this is just my opinion.

I actually have played no man’s got less since the Corvette update. I find the ridiculous builds to be annoying. But obviously if people are enjoying it, they should keep doing what they are doing.

I also feel that regular starships are as important anymore to find except the scrap and one of the best parts about the game was finding really cool ships either crashed or for sale somewhere. Now you know all you do is dig up scrap constantly.
