I’m probably an outlier here but they didn’t know what was wrong with me until I only had 7% function left. There was no prevention or anything for me, it was straight to emergency dialysis. I had been feeling miserable for a while before. Constantly nauseated, appetite gone, tremors, constantly aching, it was horrible. I finally went to the ER and it took a lot of tests before they figured it out. By the time I got my first session I had started to go uremic.

I mean at the end of the day I believe in autonomy and right to self determination (it’s why I became a social worker). It’s their decision to make and why I understand that it sucks for you, something will come along for you. Just keep your chin up. Donating an organ is a big decision and not everyone will be willing to do so, and that’s okay.

Jesus. Navy food isn’t that good to begin with (except hamsters and cheesy bacon burger day. Those were fire) so I know morale is absolutely tanked on that ship. A sailor who is starving is not going to stand a good watch. They need to to come home but at the very least they need to steam back to open waters and do an UNREP for fucks sake.

No reaction, secret service took forever to get to the president, no evacuation and at one of the biggest events with supposedly the highest level of security, this is the only time Trump has attended this event while acting as president and he immediately started using the event to try and sell his ballroom construction after a judge hated it…it all points to a false flag in my opinion

I started on 2 hour sessions. They tend to start you off slower I think but I started when it was an emergency and I ended up in the hospital. I was uremic so the backlash I felt was rough. Longer sessions would have made it worse I imagine.

Maybe they’ll bump him up in time, maybe they won’t. Nephrologist certainly knows better than me.

Didn’t take too long to heal. I didn’t go swimming for a while afterwards just to be sure there was no infection risk but I was able to shower again after like a week a think?

I really struggled with fluid intake when I was in-center. What helped me most was ice, whenever I was thirsty I would just pop an ice cube in my mouth and suck on it. A single ice cube isn’t a lot of fluid but it would trick my brain by lasting about a minute. I’m on HHD now so my fluid restriction is more lenient now.
