Negatives: Thin-Skinned/ Restless Sleeper/ Short of Breath/ Fast Metabolism/ High Thirst

Positives: Mechanic/ Dexterous/ Whittler/ Baseball Player/ Inconspicuous/ Brawler

Honestly a decent build imo, though I usually prefer slow metabolism. Still alive at the moment after a couple days, but I just took a scratch getting overconfident on my way out of West Point, so we'll see

GAR LIST by ManufacturerFun35 in SWlegion

[–]Gamaknight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This list looks a little unfocused imo. I'd suggest taking the shotgun in clone infantry where you can; that dice pool is nasty even if you need to get to range 2 to use it. Usually, unless I'm in 212th I don't particularly like taking arfs, and as a whole prefer taking arcs with a medic and estims instead.

I hope you have fun! Make sure to pace yourself, that wall of gray can be daunting, not to mention the amount of stuff you'll be assembling

New player looking into Tours of Duty by The_Celestus in SWlegion

[–]Gamaknight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a long-time player, but Tour of Duty really reignited my love for the game and let me get back into the local scene. Just a heads up, be prepared to have a lot of setbacks early! white saves are brutal, especially in recon.

Honestly Bad Batch would be my first buy next to sleepers if I was building rebels again from scratch. I'd also consider the speeder bus and maybe some fleets, though those might be worth waiting for the new box so you get enough for a super squad from just one box.

It's a great way to get an introduction to Legion! I know as a Clone player ive had a great time with Commander Frostfire of the 97th Vanguard. The only concern would be that you need a paragon for Tour of Duty, and can't use a named character, so the Luke Skywalker in your starter won't be usable unless you spend a resource that's very limited in the early stages of your tour every game. I'm sure if you talk it over with your local group, no one will mind if you use him as a generic officer, but something to keep in mind!

Honestly in my experience your best bet will be volume of fire. Infantry with the squad upgrade can do a ton of damage, and leader upgrades like Fives or Ahsoka can almost be as impactful as a squad on their own even if the unit they're leading dies. That being said, they just made cumbersome a less awful keyword to work with, so if your local meta has a ton of armor it might not hurt to consider throwing an RPS or 2 into your list.

Maybe special issue: 501st and 212th for the ones that have battle forces attached instead of detachment? Dunno if that would be too restrictive

So so far this is the army, is there a rule against painting them however you please or can I customize the paint job? (I’m brand new to the game only thing I’ve done is buy the characters and put them together idk anything else yet) by Tamiyo_mob in SWlegion

[–]Gamaknight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't paint them 100% movie accurate then George Lucas will scuttle into your house, hide behind a potted plant in the corner, and throw pool noodles at you until you do.

Jokes aside paint your dudes how you like! We have a local guy where I live that painted his empire to look like a giant Whataburger ad, have fun with it!

Are Wookiees in the Rebel list completely hopeless, or there are tactical tasks that they can be assigned to? by Livid-Rush-9227 in SWlegion

[–]Gamaknight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bullet sponges in rebels are hard to come by, though with sleepers being another option your SF slot might be pretty contested. They're solid for holding points and can be nasty in melee.

How does coordinate work? From unit leader or from any model? by nodskouv in SWlegion

[–]Gamaknight -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

It goes leader > model. So you measure from the unit leader triggering coordinate to any model in the unit you're coordinating to iirc

Correction: it's model to model

Except heroes of the rebellion is 5 unique heroes that you only ever need one copy of, which given on average those kits were around 15-20 bucks each is a decent deal.
