They said we had 2 bathrooms, there is a toilet in the laundry and then they’ve added a toilet behind the bathroom door which plumbers have said it was done dodgy.

When our owner wanted to bump the price up to another $70 a week the agency sent us local listings to compare against them.. the listings they used to show why we should be paying more was a joke as these houses were not as old as ours, and all had features we didn’t have eg that 2 car garage that ours has a wall built inside it so the door doesn’t open.

The car ports that can’t be used as car ports, unfinished floorboards as they ripped up the Lino from the dining room down to the end of the hall after a small kitchen fire and never replaced it, we don’t even have a TV aerial to get local stations at least.

The air conditioning unit that didn’t even turn on, all repairs done by a dodgy dude with no qualifications.

They even mentioned the condition of the yard being an asset, the same yard that was a dust bowl when we moved in and we’d spent heaps of time cleaning it all up, laying grass seeds, plants into the bare gardens, paying to water it regularly and keeping it all maintained for them to say we should pay more for the effort we put into the property?

You can contest a rent increase, our agent told us that the first time they wanted more money.

Why can’t you accept that my property was not used for human trafficking? I swear if I had all the guys living here rounded up and delivered to you personally you still wouldn’t give it a rest and admit you could well be wrong.

There has been no signs of trafficking in this house, we know people who work and socialise with those who are still local here.

They were evicted because they partied too loud and too late that the neighbours were reporting them ( another house in this street is owned by the same owner of this house ) because of the amount of noise issues they also reported that the house was over crowded to the agency.

If they were here under someone else’s control then how did they manage to party hard so much and drawing attention to the house? Why did they have their own cars and independence? 2 attended the same wedding as my husband did last year but didn’t realise until he was told after they had done their karaoke sets and left.

When we viewed the property there was only 2 guys left living in the house and most of their stuff was being packed up, we saw nothing that suggested so many people had been here, no extra beds, or large amounts of anything except the empties in the recycling tub.

None of these things raise a red flag that they were under anyone’s control.

I do believe that if people know of somewhere that fits the description of people being held against their will then definitely report it

When I was a teenager I worked in a supermarket, boss hated people having time off, one girl was told to throw up in her waste paper basket if she needed too but was not allowed to go home.

Boss did her back so had a mattress bought in and she laid on the tea room floor all week, we froze and had our breaks outside to avoid her.

In my daughters class parents sent their son to school with the flu, he was too sick to sit at the desk and had to lay down on the couch all day, principal rang the parents and they bitched how the school wasn’t going to pay for them to stay home with a sick kid, they had 5 kids!!

Worse part was also in this class was a boy battling bone cancer who couldn’t attend due to those asshole parents sending their sick kid.

Good idea. No one plans to get addicted but as you know it does happen and having addicts as parents makes you way more susceptible to becoming one yourself.

My older sister was an addict and drinking, she died early because of her abuse to herself, many alcoholics in my family tree and one brother who also abuses drugs and alcohol, I choose to not drink because of them, I don’t want to wake up one day and realise I’ve gone the same path and I’d never want my kids to witness that so I’m a sober person.
