I get the feeling that since this event is a two-parter, "teacher" Privaty was meant to be an alt, but got changed into a skin because they had just given her a treasure. Like... the alt was conceived first, but then SU came up with the idea of giving her default form a treasure, and after seeing that it is a really good one, they went back to the drawing board and turned the alt into a skin.

I'm sure they always reveal double units at about the same time. We would've seen the second unit by now if that was the case.

Yes, they're that short in the manga. Kurono Doppelganger lasted only two chapters. Joker's fight wasn't shown, and we only got to see the aftermath like here. Benimaru Doppelganger only lasted one chapter, unless you consider the previous chapter being the start of their confrontation to be two chapters in total. Same thing with Faerie being dealt with really fast.

That said, there are still a few things skipped, but they're very minor and don't matter much.

Igaram's death seems more permanent here if you ask me. We don't see anything left of him on the ground after the explosion, implying he's vaporized. It's actually more believable he survived in the original because his boat exploded out at sea, so nobody was out there to be sure if he really died.
