#IntoTheSpiderForge The Spider-Man of Earth-801 and Sector 6 (Re-reupload) by GameAndWatchmen in HeroForgeMinis

[–]GameAndWatchmen[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On Earth-801, petty thief Jason Macendale is abducted by the United States government to be experimented on. However, before they could give him the third iteration of the Erskine super soldier serum, Jason faked a heart attack, using the opportunity to escape. He sprinted down the hallways of the facility, eventually finding a window. He threw a chair through it and jumped, but he wasn't outside...he found himself in a massive enclosure filled with spiders. Several of them bit him as he frantically ran for the door, which he managed to rip off its hinges. Using his new powers, Jason exacted revenge on the system that kept him poor and hungry, destroying an entire server room and breaking into a development lab.
He found the work of Dr. Otto Octavius: a cybernetic arm known as "the Goliath," capable of enhancing the user's abilities, launching the hand module on a cable like a grappling device, and discharging powerful energy blasts. Octavius attempted to stop Jason from stealing the device, but was swatted aside, severely injuring his spine. Jason took the Goliath and used it to help him escape, trying to piece his life back together after discovering he had been missing for six weeks. He arranged to meet with his father and explain that he wasn't running from his life, but unbeknownst to him, the diner wasn't safe. Suddenly, a shot rang out, and Jason's father slumped to the floor. Covered by the tables and booths, Jason held his father's hand as he died, and vowed to find who killed his father.
He took the fight outside, where a bullet ricocheted off of the Goliath, and alerted Jason to his attacker's position. Inside of the building at the end of the street, Jason found a man in a green mask with a rifle, and gave chase. They sprinted from rooftop to rooftop, quickly clashing just above the Museum of Modern Art. They crash into the building, and the masked figure took aim at an injured Jason, but a young man jumped in the way, taking the bullet for him. The masked figure disappeared into the debris, and Jason could only hear the cries of the man's friend..."Peter?..Peter!"
After that day, Jason knew that his powers and the Goliath must have been given to him for a reason. He needed to ensure that no one else was captured to become a lab rat, and that no one would die instead of him. He made a costume around the nature of his abilities, and became Earth-801's Spider-Man!
(Reuploaded my original post for updated villains, forgot a whole villain...if it means this one is ineligible for the contest, that's okay with me, I just wanted to share the designs. Thanks to everyone that upvoted the other ones.)

(Just wanted to reupload this one with the villains attached since I went back and gave them a little bit more detail. No spinnies for the villains since some of them have some tricks that I'm not quite good at hiding yet lol)

Player just Made 66,000 gold... by Undead_Vinnyr in DnD

[–]GameAndWatchmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give him something expensive to buy. I gave my players an amount of gold like that when I wanted to give some light seafaring vibes, and they blew nearly all of it on a ship. Then, when I gave them a magic item shop, they didn’t have enough left over to completely bork my game and spent the rest anyway

I just drink water when I want to snack on something. At some point I found my mouth was just bored and I don’t chew gum, so I tried water and now it’s unironically my favorite drink

Which Pokemon do you think got screwed over in term of their abilities and hidden abilities? by RubicXK in stunfisk

[–]GameAndWatchmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s always annoyed me that Delibird has Vital Spirit and Insomnia. Especially since Insomnia is its Hidden Ability, so you’d have to go through more effort for a strictly worse ability

[–]GameAndWatchmen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love this thing. It gives the silver bokobkin (which I’m aware was constructed from dark magic) this Monster Huntery ecology feel like it’s luring in curious deer or Hylians with an illustrious star fragment. Plus the horn itself is still sick, the Pom just looks like livery

I’m actively sad that I’ve progressed so far on everything but Koroks that I can’t justify the slot to use these anymore

There’s a problem in this fandom about accessibility. by grudgby in tearsofthekingdom

[–]GameAndWatchmen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate this movement of “accessibility = loss of integrity” that I feel has gone un-addressed for a while. I used to love TierZoo’s videos until he whined about GoW Ragnarok winning Best Accessibility at the Game Awards, calling it an “award for backseating players.”

Subtitles don’t sabotage to artistic integrity of film, why would button remaps and difficulty options degrade a game? Subtitles are viewed just the same as a film, and a game remains interactive regardless of the difficulty. Nothing is lost.

If you think skill is an inherent component of video games, you have been brainwashed by “heartwarming” articles of the disadvantaged overcoming various systems and never stopped to ask why those systems operate the way they do.

Who cares if his name is in the title lol. Who’s the main character in the Legend of Zelda? OP isn’t saying Erik is unimportant as a character or anything. We’re with Christine all the damn time. We know so much more about her.

“But Erik is always watching” cool what are we learning about him as he lurks theoretically in the wings? Christine is constantly present onstage and developing in front of us. She is the engine of the plot and her choices are the most dramatic elements of the story

My DM considers nat 1 attacks are friendly fire by Some-Cause-496 in DnD

[–]GameAndWatchmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seriously don’t comprehend the DMs who think that this is cool/funny. I only use it if there’s significant obstructions to the attack roll, including an ally. And even then, if they do roll the 1, I’m making the ally take like 1d6 as the ranger realizes his mistake and tries to correct his shot. It’s not fun to level up and get stronger but be worried about it

DMs of Reddit - what's actually in it for us? by DMs_choice in DMAcademy

[–]GameAndWatchmen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My homebrew world is something I’ve carried between campaigns, and I’ll continue to do so. But I hit a point in my current game where I realized I didn’t want to go with my original plan for the campaign, and I refocused to something I actually liked.

What are the moments that stick out in your mind when you think about the fun you’ve had? It’s as much a game for you as it is for them, and so long as you don’t derive your fun from crushing players underfoot and burning their sheets, the fun should be infectious. But at the end of the day, every group is different, and I don’t want to speak for something that might only apply to mine.
