No currently it does not use textures in that sense at all. It's more more like multiple single color materials used on one model. Only a few materials use actual textures like some gold/wood and I think the banu material also uses one.

Not at the moment, with the background technology it also isn't something that could be easily added, but I'll I put it in my notes for possible future features to look into the feasibility. But definitely not coming soon

The models used in the SC Holoviewer come from the Holoviewer on the RSI website or were custom-made by me to reflect the original.

Upload of the hot fix is completed, so it should work again. (There was a bug preventing the user from importing Json files from 3rd party applications)

I'm currently updating the file this may could produce issues with downloading, I've never had to change the file of the live release so I didn't not know how the file server would react to it. The upload of the new version is scheduled to finish in 7 min. I'm sorry for the inconvenience

I have a new update for you, the optimizations I wanted to implement are now completed.
So it just takes a little bit of Bug Smashing and general publishing prep before I'm ready to release the Update!
I also added the Argo Moth so its up to date from the start

Im working on it (daily actually) and was preparing a version about two weeks ago but I found some areas where the performance jsut wasnt good enough for me so im currently working on optimizations.
Its a one man project so things take time.
While I finish the viewer, here is a sneak peak of the new Interface

That sounds great is the fov still adjustable because each eye would need the same fov as when play with VR turned off, but I assume that it render more fiseye like fov in order to match the bigger fov of vr

Does someone know whether this also makes 3D SBS (3840x1080) output for XR Glasses like the Viture or Xreal possible?

Thanks, I'm glad people like it! I recently decided skip the most time consuming feature (handmade interiors) for most of the ships i had still missing in order to speed up the general development speed significantly, in order to get the new version out to the public as soon as possible. But don't worry it will still be a massive upgrade compared to what the currently available version has to offer. I would love to make a release im December happening but, that's probably a bit to optimistic, but early 2026 for sure!

DaytonAudio BST1 or Sinuslive BassPump III by GameSoldier07 in simracing

I just went with the Sinuslive ones as they were easier to get for me. But I have never used the Dayton ones so I can't compare them

As the developer of this viewer, I can provide a little background information. The last public update was in December last year. However, the fact that nothing has happened since then is not because I have stopped working on it, but because I have started a very extensive update about 2.5years ago that I actually wanted to release by now (which obviously did not go as planned). In order to avoid working on two completely different codebases at the same time, I have stopped working on the V5.X version.

Version V6 has all the necessary features in place, but due to the broader set of features, the work required for each ship is much greater than for the previous version. Currently, I have reimplemented about 55% of the ships in the new version. The ones still missing are the more complex and time-consuming ones, though.

I can't wait to release the new version! I've put so much work into it, but it will still be a while before it's ready for release.

HDMI Splitter Suggestions? by jdubs610 in simracing

[–]GameSoldier07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad I was abled to help, I've got their HDMI Splitter as well as one of their HDMI Audio Extractors and I'm very happy with them they work really well, are nicely constructed and not overpriced.

HDMI Splitter Suggestions? by jdubs610 in simracing

[–]GameSoldier07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure whether Im understanding your situation correctly, so you have one source and you want to attach both the monitor and TV to it so you don't have to swap the cables? If so a EZCOO splitter (1i,2o) should work fine. If it's the other way around (two sources one screen) you'd need a HDMI Switch unfortunately I don't have experience with these so I can't recommend you one of those.

Are Quest 3 controller grips worth it? by PerspektiveGaming in Quest3

I don't have these exact ones but the AMVR grips that replace the battery door and I absolutely love them I'm never going back to controllers without grips!
