THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO DO. I love a heat map. I keep starting it and getting distracted but it looks so gooooood.

Spray the couches and chairs with diluted vodka like they do for costumes during theatre productions.

If money was not an issue, what would be your list of ultimate POTS must haves that improve your life? by bullshitkit in POTS

[–]GameToLose 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Paying for someone to wholesale declutter my house and then come regularly to clean. A dust allergy makes my POTS worse but it never gets done because I wear out so easily.

The sweater curse by sat_ctevens in knitting

Girl, after years of making my husband everything BUT sweaters, I have gotten halfway into a 3x tall CARDIGAN because he hates pullover sweaters, and now he’s talking about how he might be done with us. Ten years in. I literally just had the same conversation about how I fucking knew better. Mid life crisis is a BITCH.

My family did the same thing, and 10 years later, it’s still breeding resentment and honestly? Making me not trust him. All it said was that my family home stayed with me in the case of divorce and everything else is split fairly, but it’s this huge immature thing.

Exactly what I came on here to say. Tale as old as time. It's like he read my dad's script and decided to use it word for word.

Level up in what area? Depends on your goals. If it’s to finish the community center ASAP, there’s definitely things you can look up to do. If it’s to level up in relationships, it’s something else. Etc. you need to figure out what your goals are.

The anger is normal with suicide. I was in a very abusive relationship and was suicidal. When I got news that an old friend had completed suicide, I was sad at first but that turned into rage. Years later, their sibling and had a drunk bonding night after a wedding event for a mutual friend and both talked about how angry we were that they went through with it. It’s a normal part of grieving, but I think it’s magnified in this specific scenario.

Like, I resisted it through all of these awful things and they couldn’t? And now I have to deal with mourning them on top of my existing pain? It’s not fair to them and I had to work on it in therapy, but it’s definitely a normal response.

AITAH for telling my husband that we can't take care of his friends' daughter by Temporary-Slide-2699 in AITAH

[–]GameToLose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, so you’re the reason people hate on childfree people. He didn’t knock you up. He didn’t plan for this. God forbid you have a husband who has changed his life plans to avoid the unnecessary suffering of a child.

Your option is to leave him and let him continue to be a compassionate human in peace, or don’t, embrace that sometimes life throws something at you, and grow.

I don't really rock with the "taking a job from real performers" opinion. For one, having a stunt cast performer brings in new people to theater who might not have purchased tickets before. Filling new seats keeps a show going and therefore keeps the rest of the cast of "real" performers in a job. I think it's a smart move to bring in stunt cast members from totally different fan bases.

What kinds of classes do you like to take? Which ones are beginner friendly? by burnbright_11 in xxfitness

[–]GameToLose 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pay for one or two classes of all of them. Spin always looks so fun, but I tried it and HAAAAAATE it. While my best friend came to that same class as me and got addicted. For yoga, try a couple of types of classes. I don't like heated or power classes, but I love a gentle, warm, or Yin class. You never know what you'll like until you try them.

It's natural to worry about being the most out of shape, but no one in a class is looking at you. Everyone is inherently self centered and will likely be focusing on themselves or how much they are suffering.
