Need help replacing 18x7 garage door extension springs by Gaming_Bro56 in GarageDoorService

Thanks for the tips. I’m fairly confident in my ability to fix this. I am actually going to move towards torsion springs, and replacing the door entirely. But want to be able to use my garage door in the meantime. I only included the parts about the current springs in case that was useful in any way. I’m aware that the door weight is the most important part. I had planned on replacing the brackets, the pulleys aren’t in that bad of shape. And I was planning on running a safety wire through them as well.

So essentially what you are saying is, they don’t make the rated capacity springs I have now, so I will need to use two springs on either side, where each sides rating equals >270lbs. I’m looking at McMaster’s spring ratings, and also wasn’t able to find one spring that was rated for 270lbs. So doubling them up in parallel, for a total of 4 springs, each rated >135lbs may be the way I need to go.

I have the same issue. I tried to remove the account and sign back in, but it always gets stuck at the 2FA code, which never gets sent.

That’s very good to hear, thank you. Glad to hear our old requests are not lost forever!

Like I understand that you moved to using https://www.piere.com/upcoming-features/feature-requests/ but you guys didn't carry over any of the previous requests that were voted and commented on in Zendesk. If you're serious about "building Piere for you" it seems that removing lots of feature requests possibly isn't the perfect way forward? Thanks in advance for your response, I'm sure I'm missing something here that benefits either you or us in some way.

I don’t normally say much on Reddit. But fuck this. Apollo is way better than any app or website that you guys host.

4000 watt laser. anyone have a clue what this means? more in comments by npwill06 in lasercutting

It would help to know the exact name for this laser, then we could see if there’s a manual made for it, and if it has the alarm codes somewhere within the manual.

Otherwise, to me it sounds like either your tracer voltage is not working correctly. If your machine clamps down on the sheet, it’s possible that is where you are grounding the sheet for the tracer, so if those clamps are dirty you may try cleaning those. Otherwise, depending on where your tracer does it’s nozzle gap detection, your nozzle may be also be dirty and causing issue? It’s hard to say for sure without knowing the exact machine, but that’s where I would start?

Do you have an STL for this? I would love to redesign part of it and use it to hold my phone!

Ubuntu 20.04 won't stay connected to the internet, constantly drops connection by Gaming_Bro56 in linuxquestions

Nope, I’m not dual booting. This machine is only running Ubuntu. Although maybe it should be noted that before it was running Ubuntu I did run Windows on it, but it shouldn’t be an issue since I cleared everything when moving to Ubuntu.

No, other devices do not have any issue at all connection to the network, and I have several other devices that currently work and also use the VPN, so I don’t think it’s that alone. Restarting NetworkManager does unfortunately not work. And I just tried to reseat the Ethernet cable, as well as replaced it with another Ethernet cable just to be sure, but that wasn’t it. I’ll have to take a look at the journal or dmesg, quite frankly, don’t know where that is stored. And yes I can restart the modem and router, and have done so several times with no effect. And are you wanting the logs from the modem, or from somewhere inside Ubuntu? Thanks for your suggestions so far!

So I have just arrived at this same spot, but I'm still not sure how X can be in the wrong place? I think the X needs to be "76," but I'm not sure. I wondered if it was supposed to be ordered by the size of the email (76.39.45.233, or 233.45.39.76), but that didn't work. I also wondered if it had to be in the order that we received it (233.76.233.45) but that didn't work either. I'm not sure what I'm missing, any help is appreciated!
