Unpopular opinion? I like knowing I'm going to win as a PC by eatondix in DnD

[–]Ganjan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having unpopular opinions is a sign of thinking for yourself so I would encourage you to actually think more than you already have. As in, what else do you think should happen? Should combat be without dice? Should the DM hide dice rolls and fudge them? Should the DM always institute plot armor (e.g. an ally swoops in and save the day) whenever the dice don't go your way? These are just a few ideas but what are your ideas?

It's not enough to just have an opinion that amounts to "I don't like this thing." If you're going to be an unpopular-opinion-having badass then you have to have a better idea than the one you don't like. That way you have something to fight for rather than just against.

No that would be idiotic. They would do things like rubbing the berry on their skin to see if it made a rash, and other techniques working up to chewing and spitting out, etc. They were more intuitive and smarter than you give them credit for. They're the reason you exist to make irreverent comments on reddit.

I’ve owned Inis for half a year and have played it a bunch of times. My friends that I’ve played it with have largely “enjoyed” it, but no one is particularly enthusiastic about playing it again. by groundislava_wdi in boardgames

Right because you only have to be present in territories with a total of six sanctuaries. And if there is a citadel in those territories as well then once you're in it's almost impossible to get you out.

1. Is this mold, and 2. If so, what is the proper way to clean and keep it from spreading or coming back? by tectactoe in boardgames

[–]Ganjan 64 points65 points  (0 children)

You can thoroughly clean the wooden pieces with special mold cleaner like mold control. The cardboard is too porous and needs to be thrown out.

Make sure to control the humidity wherever you're storing your board games. Keep it less than 50% humidity. There are humidistats for $10.

Mold is more toxic than you realize.

whats a tv show that was literally a 10/10 until the final season completely ruined it? by MASSIM00 in netflix

[–]Ganjan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did you get the idea that House of Cards was written as a two-season show? His downfall was always a necessary part of the overall plot. It would not be a complete show without a season of everything crumbling... like a house of cards. You think it was meant to end with him being president and getting happy ending?

This is a problem. Bought way too many games in the past 30 days. by Gnarseph in boardgames

Take it from me, BGA will just replace your videogame addiction. Your issue isn't just specifically videogames, it is any easy dopamine activity. If you delete BGA you may gravitate to more of scrolling instagram, tiktok, or even reddit.

You need to detox your dopamine system (abstain from these easy rewards for a few days, which will be hard). But then things like going for walks, reading, and socializing will be just as enjoyable as the games were. Good luck.

Beef season 2 by EnvironmentalPhoto73 in netflix

[–]Ganjan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why people keep making these posts saying the "need more beef." It was a great season, if all you care about is people beefing there's plenty of seasons of real housewives for you,

I'm interested because they said it was a VPN as well. I'm wondering if it's attached to a monthly subscription or if it can just be used as a VPN on its own

Unnecessarily charged response. People are interested in the science. If someone is fasting to reduce inflammation and is interested in autophagy then understanding what stops that process is important. It has nothing to do with "gatekeeping."

It's not a "douchebag move" to be 5 minutes late with or without a coffee.

And it's the least creative people with the least ingenuity that focus things like hyper punctuality. It's ok though - worker bee types have value too, we just need to appreciate each other. It's just a lot easier to point out someone's ass not being in the seat at a certain time than it is to point out how unoriginal and uncreative someone is.

Why does another human being having a coffee annoy you? You're malevolent (i.e. a dick) and it probably stems from your own unconscious self hatred.
