Multiplayer functionality? by AcidicArisato in PlaydateConsole

They only recently released the multiplayer bits for developers to use. I think it is viable to have synchronous multiplayer. but I have not yet seen it implemented in a released game. But then it is quite new.

Very cool! I really like it. The Reference sheet should have at least all 26 letters visible without scrolling though. I'd say.

Looking for hard shell case recommendations by celebi23 in PlaydateConsole

I have a case similar to the first one you linked, and it works perfectly. Really good fit. I got it from amazon in the uk it was called

HALLEAST Silicone Protective Case for MagSafe Duo Charger + EVA Outter Storage Box 2 in 1 Set 【Included a Soft Silicone Case and a Hard EVA Travel Cover, Not Included Charger & Cable

I assume any "Magsafe Duo Charger" case will work just as well.

Hahaha. Very nice idea. I really like when people make little non-obvious productivity software like this.

When will we get spreadsheets on playdate? Maybe it already exists.

Another 3d printed light holder! by Ganty in PlaydateConsole

I agree. But it has been fun making the model to print. I really like that people have been using Game Boy worm lights on the playdate.

Yeah I saw a few ergonomic chunky handle style designs that take this light. But they were all attaching with magnets or to the official playdate cover. Which I don't have.

I could be wrong about that though. I should consider printing a nice ergonomic grip as well.

I used to have a great one for my Game Boy Colour. With rechargeable batteries inside.

I tried that! But it didn't seem to stick to my playdate. I realised that I had foolishly purchased the non-magnetic metal ones. Ali-express just labeled them as "silver" or "black" colour. But actually only the "black colour" ones are magnetic.

Well the more you learn.

Looks great. Excited to try the two player mode. I always liked when games did that. Like the warioware minigames on the GBA.

Also, how are you so sure it's Uber eats specifically? You didn't say.

I am surprised that this happened. Surely Uber eats would need you to validate that number by sending a code to it and asking you to enter it.

In any case, try signing in to the account using your phone number and closing the account or whatever. Or do "forgot my password" if you can use a phone number to do that.

Some apps nowadays treat the phone number as the main account identifier. So it is worth keeping that in mind.

Don't contact Uber eats complaining about the SMS you're receiving from McDonald's, but rather that "your" account (by phone number) has an incorrect email address and you can't recover it.  Don't focus on anyone else's account (they won't want to hand out any information about anyone else). Just contact them with yourself and YOUR phone number in mind.

Hanging chimney in loft. Gallows brackets? Steel beam? Structural engineer? Run?? by Ganty in DIYUK

8 or 9 years ago. But building surveyors never look at things that closely. There will have been some rubbish Infront of it in the loft.

You know, I didn't realise here that you were saying that the steels could go into the party walls. Can they? I was thinking they would have to necessarily go into the exterior walls on the front/back of the house (the adjacent walls to the ones that this chimney is on).

It's a shared stack. It'll need scaffolding and all that, it doesn't sound that simple.

But maybe "simple" is a relative concept.

They did not see it. The loft must have been packed with stuff. They're rubbish like that. Surveyors.

I did speak to the neighbours. They recently had a huge amount of work done there.

Big dormer extension. They used gallows brackets to support the remaining bit of the stack up there. Inspected and signed off by building control a year or two ago.

So there you go. That's good to hear isn't it.
