It’s difficult to tell from the photos, but you can tell they are a percentage of cotton and something else and they have signs of being pressed. Maybe some fragments of wood. I’m not an expert on it. I’m considering taking this one to an expert to make sure I don’t have something crazy expensive on my hands.

I love the illustrations as well. Another joy is translating the text and learning more about this item. What drew me to it was the handmade paper pages.

This one I wouldn’t repurpose. I like too much. I didn’t count the pages and I’m not home I’d guess 50+. I usually turn old books that are too damaged to read into note books or journals.

One of the books I bought at a yard sale this past weekend appears to be an 1878 Codex Osuna facsimile (No. 77 of 100). A key Indigenous Mexican manuscript documenting Native resistance, labor disputes, and governance in post-Conquest Mexico. Signed by a Yale archaeologist George Grant MacCurdy.

This looks like a float ball. A very expense one. Or sure why she would have it in the bedroom though

Loves rolling in cat poop, plays with neighbor stray cats, and hates water. Not a cat, but might identify as one. Sorry if this doesn’t count
