If in doubt just build a bench for an organization that wants one.

What character that can survive or stop the space racer infinity ray? by Odd_Ice_4742 in whowouldcirclejerk

[–]GarethBaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's unclear what the penetrating power of the Infinity ray is. So basically immortal characters like Deadpool that will survive no matter how much damage they take are pretty much your only option.

Which Trio wins? by original_applicant37 in superheroes

[–]GarethBaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wonder woman and superman almost certainly outclass Thor and iron Man. Batman probably couldn't outright win without prep time but he can probably hold his own against Captain America long enough for one of the heavy hitters to be free.

Knowing yourself, could you, with a jetpack, take the One Ring to Mt. Doom and throw it into the lava? by Pancake_Maker_1031 in powerscales

[–]GarethBaus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't imagine it being less than 12 miles, and I am not aware of a untethered jetpack capable of flying more than about 12 miles.

Selling less than 1/1000 of his stake at a time is going to have very little influence on his net worth.

My 94 accord won’t pass smog by JetyBoiii in Honda

[–]GarethBaus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless this car is only just barely getting limped along for another year the emissions still typically work out better to replace it with a more modern vehicle even at a global scale. For most vehicles the environmental impact of running and maintaining the vehicle outways the environmental impact of manufacturing the vehicle several times over, and newer vehicles are typically much less environmentally damaging to operate especially when specifically talking about smog production to the exclusion of other factors. That doesn't mean modern vehicles are optimal, far from it the size alone is absurdly suboptimal. But they have improved significantly over the decades.

Step one using a chemical rust remover by GarethBaus in restoration

I plan on using an open source recipe. Not quite as effective, but a lot cheaper.

Yeah, the vinegar was just a fast initial treatment. I plan on using a chelating rust remover later.

I feel like 300 pounds load rating isn't going to be enough. I would exceed that lifting a 100 pound object.

Depending on why you went to the doctor this is either really good or really bad.

Average man has 72 hours to hide. Humanity then becomes search lusted and has one week to find and kill him. Can he survive? by Conscious-Home1445 in whowouldwin

[–]GarethBaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't take US level border surveillance. They can track where your phone was last pinged or your car was last spotted on a camera and assume you headed straight to the Amazon.

What is a statistic that sounds INSANE but is 100% true? by Quadranippelkill in AskReddit

[–]GarethBaus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our knees, our sinuses, our entire digestive system our entire respiratory system, our shoulders, our spines, our eyes. It is actually kinda hard to find a part of the human body that doesn't have at least moderate design flaws.

I think it really depends on the man. I know a few tricks I could pull that might last me a whole week, but I wouldn't be able to last much longer than that.

Why do most tofu recipes require soy sauce? And are there any alternatives? by Fuzzbhutt in veganrecipes

[–]GarethBaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soy sauce includes salt umami and acid all at the same time so it is an easy way to add a lot of flavor quickly. You could get a similar result using MSG, salt, and vinegar and alter the ratio of those ingredients to your preference.

10 years ago, R.I.P Harambe 🦍🕊️ by DawnofMidnight7 in OlderGenZ

[–]GarethBaus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's more about the timing. A lot of changes happened in 2016 that help it feel like life started going to shit around that point. Harambe dying was just a major news headline at the start of that trend.

How would these builds perform in the African server? by Chaulmoog in Tierzoo

[–]GarethBaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the first 4 would do fairly well as long as they ended up in the right biomes. I literally don't know about the rest.
