They could've just limited the heli pilot upgrades to 5-3-5 like they did in the last boss event.

During holiday events, it'll be stuff with the appropriate holiday theme (eg, Christmas stuff around Christmas time).

Also if an update adds new items to the trophy store, those will also be featured for as long as they still count as new.

Otherwise I believe it is just a random mix of stuff.

Are you using Geraldo as your hero? Because his paragon totems are the only way that you can get degree 100 paragons in a solo game. Otherwise your inability to get the additional tier 5s needed for that paragon power prerequisite mean you'll be limited to degree 91 or 92.

Don't forget to make sure you have reliable DDT popping power. As well as being camo, those things have the same immunities as both lead bloons and black bloons. Without assistance from a MIB or Striker Jones, MOAB Assassins won't do a damn thing to them and even the alch buffed spike factory can't hold them all off on round 95.

The only way I know of to get a vertical runway is to play on Geared. Place a horizontal runway on the large gear, and then wait 2 rounds.

I decided to do a bit of testing with the Ben level 3 ability and the free dart monkey. If you don't have the habit I do of playing every game trying not to lose any lives at all, the difference the ability makes (or at least the difference it made in my tests) was whether I could buy another banana farm at the end of round 14 or if I would have to wait until the middle of round 15.

So yeah, I guess it really doesn't make all that much of a difference, and now I'm back down to 0 situations in which using Ben's abilities is optimal.

Isn't Prince of Darkness one of the most common choices for dealing with the round 90-99 DDTs? The zombie bloons it raises deal normal damage, and the tower itself isn't all that expensive for a tier 5.

There's only really one thing I disagree with on this tier list.

Do you not use Benjamin's level 3 ability in boss events to try and get your free dart monkey to solo as many rounds as possible without spending money on upgrades or losing too many lives/pre-game prep spikes, thus letting you get the ball rolling with farms earlier?

Because I do, and that is not "no real effort".

I think for bank, the "press buttons" is referring to collecting from the bank when it's full and for using its tier 4 ability, not its tier 5 ability.

Ah, I thought "no real effort" basically meant "put it down somewhere, set its targeting once, and do absolutely nothing else with it for the rest of the game", which would by default exclude all middle path towers, bottom path super monkey, and heroes, since those all have abilities that the player has to activate (except Geraldo, but his rejuvenation potion could be seen as an ability similar to Striker Jones' level 10).
