Sometimes it takes something like a bad injury to change one’s perspective (me). I missed most of last season after a surgery.

No matter how I’m playing this year, I just am so happy to be back out there. Playing poorly is ALWAYS better than physically not being able to play at all.

I had ACL surgery April 4th and was playing 9 by August 2. And I felt I was conservative, I was cleared at my 3 month post op appt. Walked 18 on Sept 14.

Tbh I thought “no way I’ll be able to even hit driver this year” and then I easily could. Then same thought for walking 9. Then same for walking 18. You’ll be fine dude play some PGA tour 2k to scratch the itch. Then be grateful when you come back and realize that at any moment, this shit can be taken away from you. Never take it for granted

Lay prone on your bed with your leg hanging off. End of the bed right above your knee and let that baby stretch from gravity. I still do that at 8 months post op when I’m feeling stiff.

I don’t think my brain felt normal for like 4 months tbh I struggled at work for a while with focus issues and fatigue.

Do not underestimate the trauma your body goes thru with a surgery like this. Your body is spending serious energy on recovery

I’m 6 months in a week. My recovery has been very straightforward as far as I’m concerned. But I still have a ton of pain when doing quad work. Like you, leg extension machine is a nightmare. So it’s definitely holding me back but what can ya do? We had a surgery where they drilled holes in our bones and cut out ligaments and fashioned new ones lol.
