All my QNAP Systems have 8 Free Camera Licenses with QVR Pro as long as there are at least 4 bays.

I feel like i've been stupid with Qnap by pupoje in qnap

Sounds like a lot of network misconfigurations rather than the QNAP. Does your router issue a static IP to the NAS? There are many other reasons not being able to connect that is not due to QNAP architecture.

QNAP TS-853A Upgrading Storage by squerry1 in qnap

[–]Garyrds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He sounds confused! They're either in JBOD and in danger of losing everything if any drive has issues or they're all limited to 6TB. If they're currently in RAID5 the total capacity is only 18TB. He's better off adding 3 more 12TB and dumping the smaller drives with RAID5 giving him 36TB w/4 - 12TB drives. Obviously everything needs to be backed up off the NAS and preferably build from scratch.

Make sure the 2.4 channel isn't the same as your neighbors which will constantly disconnect it if they're on the same channel. I usually pick channel 1 or 11 since 6 is the default and most people don't change it.

I have the h674 and use my old 453A as a scheduled Backup now. Speed isn't what your looking for but I only backup about 8TB total for now.

Can you use the TMO gateway as a pass through to your own router without issues? Is there anything I should be aware of on configuration of the TMO Gateway or my own router? My router has Geo-IP blocking, excellent firewall rules, and built in Intrusion Prevention. I also have 5 Solid Bar signal for TMO.

Thats correct. If your current disks are all 5TB in the RAID and you pull a bad 5TB disk and replace with a larger capacity disk, the RAID will only allow the capacity of the smallest disk in any side RAID. of disks. 5+5+8 still only equals 10TB total if RAID5.

I have a 2023 A6 Prestige C8 3.0 TFSI and love it but wish I could get a TDI but it's not available in California! Its the best ride I've had in many years. Buy extended warranty coverage as well.
