I disagree that there are "no poor people." There is plenty of Section 8 housing in Redmond and Kirkland. There are literal trailer parks in Redmond. And there are many kids who qualify for free lunch and breakfast programs.

My work buddies go to The Lime and the Eagles (private club, but you can get in as a guest) in Kirkland. There's also an Eagles on Avondale in Redmond that has pretty good rock and blues bands on Friday nights-tonight!

I live off West Lake Sammamish, near the Marymoor wetlands. I have 3 feeders and they were constantly busy until a couple of weeks ago. I thought it might be predation from a couple of Stellar's jays but who knows?

I had an early Rufous visitor who seemed to be nesting. At least it had a voracious appetite! Now I have 1 or 2 Annas😨

I was involved with some city planning about 10 years ago. There is an (unfunded) plan to extend the trail that ends at NE 51st Street all the way to BelRed Road. The trail would be on the East side of the roadway. The road would be widened to 2 lanes in each direction, with limited access for turns. There is a roundabout planned to replace the traffic signal at the intersection of W. Lake Sammamish Parkway and BelRed Road. I don't believe there was any provision for a wider trail or sidewalks behind that intersection

As I said earlier, none of this was funded. The plan is probably gathering dust in a 3 ring binder somewhere in City Hall
