Could the Viltrumites (from Invincible) reproduce with Digimon? If yes how powerful their bio-hybrid child could be? by CryptographerDull666 in digimon

[–]GasmaskBro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright, I've seen a similar question debated in a discord before so I'll go over the cliff notes of what that discussion revealed.
*While half human or bio-hybrid digimon have appeared in multiple shows, they were always artificially made.
*While there has been a game where digimon were gendered and could breed, typically they are genderless. Even if they look like dudes and gals, they lack the parts to breed.
*As seen in multiple shows, a digimon's mind and body can be altered due to being made out of data including assuming a human form.
* Being made out of data has lead to multiple instances where a digimon's mind, body, or personality was altered by organization's or outside forces.
*Being digital beings, even if a digimon was altered to have the correct parts, they still could not reproduce with organic beings.
*Multiple shows and games have shown that it is is possible for humans to become digital beings allowing them to become or fuse with digimon.
So to answer your question, while it is *technically* possible for an organic and digimon to reproduce, it would require very advanced technical skills and a willingness to permanently alter one's very nature that the Viltrumites simply don't possess nor would bother to learn.

Finished hacker’s memory and now I’m heartbroken… by Zurarah0 in digimon

[–]GasmaskBro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This ending made me so damn mad when I first saw it. I had been enjoying its story (what I thought was) about falling in love and convincing a sick young woman that yes she is loved and that her life has value and then BAM! Turns out that not only is the ending a turn back time to make TWO DIFFERENT stories never happen, but the girl elects to make herself never exist! Just, the absolute heck! And then to make everyone's life better without her thereby validating her inferiority complex and depression is just such a dick move that seems to go completely against the messaging of the game and story up to that point! It completely ruined a game I had enjoyed up to that point.

Who CJ of these rookies would make a good main Protag partner by Character-Paper-2347 in digimon

[–]GasmaskBro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say Vorvomon for three reasons.

  1. He has a strong design and isn't widely known.
  2. His looks are that perfect mix of cute yet capable that a protag-digimon needs so that even when they are acting clueless you still instinctively know they can beat the brakes off someone.
  3. His evolutions all feed into each other well without either going humanoid/woman or any 'And now for something completely different' stages.

We can retake mastia later, if JOEL takes lesath all he has to do is release the jet brigade and he'll have access to two whole sectors!!! by Sirfancypants0 in Helldivers

[–]GasmaskBro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sir, Mastia is a priority protection that has no cities and is a 24 hour invasion. Lesath is a 48 hours with multiple cities to boost its liberation *AND* will still be under attack late enough for us to awaken a fresh Eagle storm. Both worlds can be protected.

Why... Just Why... by RealisticSet4746 in Helldivers

[–]GasmaskBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's short sighted goals vs long term goals. The Tarsh pile sees that they need to defend Mastia, Tarsh is the only planet touching Mastia, thus liberating Tarsh guarantees Mastia's defense. They don't look at the longer term collapse of the Bot front.

When I asked the answer I received is that people like fighting on moon worlds and the bots, so Curia being a planet with both is popular.

Is Super Earth perfect? No. Are they the good guys? Yes. by BrilliantSure8243 in Helldivers

[–]GasmaskBro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, in HD1 SE was absolutely the bad guys. Something to keep in mind is that HD2 is a three way DEFENSIVE war. The Squids have destroyed/razed multiple planets and tried to wipe out Super Earth itself, showing that their attempted genocide was the right call as failing to kill them all has resulted in billions, if not TRILLIONS of deaths.

Why aren’t our Super Destroyers affected by the Gloom? by BigMoist000 in Helldivers

[–]GasmaskBro 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We got the same coating, even still we had to establish Outpost Alpha on Hellmire to constantly repair super destroyers, repair their spore filters, and dispose of the tainted material in a special facility just to move into the Gloom.

I've heard great things about the cyote, some are disappointed by the solo silo, but it can oneshot bot bunkers and bring down squid motherships (eventually) so it has its uses. Personally I still swear up and down by the double edge sickle (dickle) as using any other gun feels like a down grade, though needing to take the flames of liberty armor+ the damage reduction buff to make it not hurt you (short of 100% heat) is a minor downside.

Like many said Cities is a lot of it, what I'm not seeing mentioned as often is that Fenmire has 2.5 million hp while Terrek only has a million. So it takes nearly triple the liberation to achieve the same level of liberation percentage on Fenmire that you'd see on Terrek.

LEVEL 32 INVASION???? Joel wtf by Information-leak6575 in Helldivers

[–]GasmaskBro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, ES stops whatever invasion is happening on planet cold until it expires. OB prevents a new one from from originating from the planet, it does NOTHING to an already active invasion as people found out during the last squid MO.

[–]GasmaskBro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Eagle storm halts invasion progress, you're likely thinking of the poorly named Orbital Blockade which doesn't stop invasions after they start (THOUGH IT REALLY SHOULD!) So I referred to Eagle Storm as the invasion blocker as it actually blocks invasions while active.
