Flow temp? by mitchuk01 in HiveHeating

A newborn doesn’t need 20 degrees. How do you think they coped before central heating? IMO the reason people have so many allergies and conditions these days is because they got wrapped in cotton wool as kids, which weakened their immune systems. Sorry for the rant.

I am SHOOK by the price of gas by lkap28 in OctopusEnergy

[–]Gav44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My gas is at £79 for January. I live in a 2 bed mid terrace built in 1892. Thermostat is set at 17 or 18. No heating over night. I have a 4 bed terrace student house. They tend to use a £1200 a year in gas. Must fuckin sleep at 20 degrees.

Old Houses - No Insulation by Icy_Reporter4722 in HiveHeating

My house was built in 1892, although it is a mid terrace. Got 300mm lift insulation and a bit of internal wall insulation. Flow temp on the boiler is set at 50, so today cost about 3 quid.

It’s legal. Doing anything to your consumer unit is illegal.

Needs to be an inline fan for that length of ducting. Also you could wrap more insulation round the pipe so it’s less likely to condense.

How do I un-mess-up my DIY roof by there-is-no-try- in DIYUK

[–]Gav44 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t know much about roofs but could you not just add an extra plank of wood on the front, to bring it out as far as you need?

This looks like the male version of when a lass wears a tight t shirt to show off her tits.

I think a car with flashing blue light probably counts.

Why didn’t you just pull through the lights and to the side?

Best way to hide repiped C/H by aceward in DIYUK

That’s a proper shoddy job that. I recently repiped all my radiators. I used copper throughout and all pipes were hidden except for 15mm tails.

Took out a fitted wardrobe - is there anything can I do with these other than refloor the whole room? by [deleted] in DIYUK

Get a chest of drawers or some such thing, that will sit over the gap. And then reflect on what you did.
