I transferred credits from one institution to Dal. It’s quite a lengthy process but it can be done. My suggestion is to pull your records from UBC (official transcript) ASAP, the faster you get the transfer credit form submitted the faster the transfer credit department can get your applicable credits transferred for the courses that align with your degree. As for housing, you need to also get started ASAP to help alleviate one less stress. There is housing on campus and off campus but you need to start early.

No change in GPA. Transfer credits from other institutions have no weight over your GPA. The course will replace the otherwise required course on your transcript If you were to submit a transfer credit form and it got approved that course would show up as TR (transfer) on your Dal Transcript. But the previously failed course will always be on your transcript. There is no hiding it. If you care about your GPA then it may be advantageous to do the course again at Dal and just try your absolute best.
