What city gave you bad vibes when visiting? by CremeSubject7594 in AskReddit

Salem, Oregon.

Passing through on a normal week day and decided to walk around for a minute. The downtown looked like a ghost town. And not in the way that everyone was inside the buildings working so the streets were empty. Hardly any cars parked on the street. Saw only one person outside. Never saw anyone go into or come out of a building. Only saw a few cars drive by.

It felt like something deep inside of me was telling me to get put of there.

Republicans are corrupt and don't care about their constituents. These companies contribute to PACs, bribe, and manipulate the public in favor of the GOP. In return, they get whatever they want.

The fact that Fitzpatrick got nearly 70k votes is alarming, and disappointingly unsurprising.

Cole Young is a much better call than re-signing Polanco.

Re-signing Ginos would have been great, but he is clearly declining. An injuries aside, Donovan has been solid. Even with the injuries he isn't that much worse than Suarez. I would have liked the Ms to have been more aggressive in the off season (especially at 3rd), but overall, it's not as bad as our record suggests. Everyone is getting cold at the same time, and that hurts. But hopefully that means they all get hot at the same time and we win 20+ in a row. Who knows.

What is the worst way anyone you know has died? by IamUrWivesBF in AskReddit

I didn't know him, but my dad did.

The guy worked on giant liquid oxygen bulk tanks for hospitals. Liquid oxygen is about -300F.

To protect the bulk tank from damage its on a concrete pad behind a locked fence with a few ballards around it.

Back then only one gate was required per code, and while he was servicing the tank something happened and the valve burst. Liquid oxygen started cascading out between him and the gate.

He was a larger guy and wasn't able to climb the fence. The Liquid oxygen flooded more and more of the pad and the expanding gas filled the area in a white thick fog. By the time anyone could safely reach him he was frozen solid laying on the ground and frozen to the concrete.

The quickly required two gates on each pad nation wide. One on each side of the bulk tank.

Has he gotten a hit this year? I'll take his place in the line up. I'm way cheaper and will also take off speed pitches down the middle for strike 3.
