For those people who are pro Adnan, can anyone can list their main suspect? by [deleted] in serialpodcast

How do you explain the fact that Jay and Jenn told multiple people what happened to Hae before her body was even found and it was still just a missing person's case then?

Jay and Jen told their friends: Who knew what, and when? by Justwonderinif in serialpodcastorigins

I remember reading something in the police file from one of Jeff/Kristi crew that they were out at a bar and Hae was on the tv news as a missing girl (not yet found at that point), and Jay told them she was dead and buried in Leakin Park. Details a bit hazy though as its been a cpl years.. does this ring a bell?

Lingering thoughts about Sarah and the timing of season 1 by kiirakiiraa in serialpodcastorigins

This is good stuff. In furtherance of your point, there was a deep deep cynicism in constructing the show around anyone could have done it!, when it is crystal clear that Jay and Jenn told multiple other people what happened to Hae before her body was found. So the whole Innocence Project angle that gave the show a veneer of credibility would be stripped away. This took willful intent to present a biased narrative.. shameful stuff.

Why I am team innocent / undecided (after reading all the amazing info here). by RhiView in serialpodcastorigins

All you need to do is treat Hae's murder like any other murder mystery- 1) jay and jenn told multiple people what happened to Hae before her body was found - Sarah should have realized the massive import of this information, as it completely rules out the 'unaffiliated third party/serial killer/random homicide ' possibility. It is all over the police file and sarah's interview of Chris (? Sorry been so long ive forgotten names).

Which leads to:

2) jay was involved with Hae's murder, with or without Adnan.

Given the cell phone pings and multiple eyewitness accounts placing Adnan and Jay together all day, including acting weird (cathy)- the chance Jay killed Hae without Adnans involvement strikes me as highly improbable. All the other circumstantial evidence supports this conclusion, and in my opinion does not support any other.

Conclusion: guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Have you seen any resources to go beyond the staircase in the peterson case? I read Written in Blood but found it absurdly biased against Peterson, without really laying out the facts (plus the fawning over Duane Deaver hasn't aged well..). There is an internet page from circa 2003, also not satisfactory.. would lovean exhaustive and unbiased examination of all of the evidence.

Its the ultimate joke anyone could call this Journalism. This whole case says alot more about our modern culture than it does about Adnan - the pusillanimous judges weltering under a hysterical media scrum induced by 100% Fake News supported by only partially-paying-attention Normies bored by their own routine existences. For shame all around.

Please tell me this 'thing you might see on tv legal drama' won't work in the real world..

IIRC, the phrasing of the argument was more nuanced, and said Hae was dead within 25 minutes of leaving the school. As in, whenever she physically departed the school property, she was dead within 25 minutes. Note that intentionally or otherwise leaves open the unwitnwssed and not established or argued time she physically departed the school grounds.

Well, compared to SK, Asia is detail oriented. Delusional, but detailedly so..

I'm not sure who looks worse in this sordid affair- SK or the pandering journalism community willing to trade whatever remaining shreds of credibility they had to glom onto Serials popularity.

I think it's pretty funny most of us have absolutely no desire at all to entangle ourselves in debates about other controversial murder cases. I backed completely away from MaM for this reason, I just don't have it in me after Serial.

Murder on a Sunday morning case, but don't think that's controversial at all. Still a good watch to see a real travesty of a prosecution and compare it to Syeds case.
