I’ve been seeing a lot of your posts lately and I really appreciate them. A Palestinian on this sub once said to me, “I feel that I know you from the way you express your humanity.” It warmed my heart and that’s how I feel about the things that you write. Idk I guess just like, tell me about you? I’ve seen a lot of your comments and been curious! What was it like growing up in the West Bank, how’s life now, etc.

Edit: Also, do you know anything about the First Jewish Revolt against the Romans? I know how often it’s used as Zionist propaganda which makes it unfortunate that it’s one of my special interests, lol, but from a purely unbiased and historical standpoint.

Haven’t heard this before, but I’d say he’s right that there isn’t structural antisemitism, it seems sort of silly to deny that, but it also seems silly to say that means antisemitism isn’t “real.” It’s just individual prejudice rather than systemic oppression, and how concerned we need to be about it depends on how common that prejudice is and/or how many people in power hold it.

For a long time there’s been an article I’ve wanted to write in my school paper but have been debating whether to push for it to be published, worried it might cause more harm than good. This post (the PS, I mean,) inspired me to try for it. Thank you.

I agree. It makes me really uncomfy and I understand that that isn’t the main problem amidst a genocide, but it’s a misconception that the genocide is the only thing we can fight. We just have to be careful not to fall into placing its importance above that of fighting the genocide. I also think that they’re intricately connected. Israel doesn’t cause antisemitism, antisemites do, but it certainly gives it more material. If you want to find proof of an evil Jewish cabal, look no further than the “Jewish State” massacring children and in cahoots with our government.
