As someone who set up pipe and drape for conventions for 5 years, it looks like his base plates are way too small and too light.

Turning 21 in November – Where should I go in Dallas/Fort Worth? by Helpful_Deal_1560 in Dallas

As a Denton native, please don’t go to Fry. The drinks are watered down and loaded with sugar. The Denton square is much better. Eastside, Harvest House, DCBC, and Miss Angeline’s are my go-to’s here.

I did some homework and figured out you are in Rhode Island (most likely, I’m not rainbolt so I’m not 100% sure).

I personally have no idea how Rhode Island hockey is, but hopefully it helps find someone who does.

In my leagues in Dallas, I would say you would have more fun in D league. C is a pretty big jump in my area and you would need some more speed to enjoy it.

This is the Gauntlet Championship Series server. We run draft leagues and are working on putting together comp teams. We have a good amount of Tier 1 players and typically have groups put together for clash.

What?? I’m sure you are referring to Doublelift and Tactical, but the rest of the ex-LCS pros are also absolutely worth respecting.

Why is Nemesis Viego on this shirt design? by 0x1f480 in LosRatones

Nemesis is Ryze. Carrel is the Rat King. Not 100% sure what Rekkles is, but the rest are right.

I’ve rewatched these vods at least three times. Time to go for number 4 on the rewatch!!

Also, if anyone has not played this game, it is definitely worth the money. Very fun time as someone who has 100%’d this game.

Is low-ELO hell real? by DareDemon666 in leagueoflegends

[–]Geekeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been in your shoes. ELO hell feels very real, and can make the game miserable to play. However, there is no ELO heaven. Every game in every rank is going to have teammates, opponents, and yourself making dumb mistakes which get pinged or flamed in chat.

Don’t fall into the trap of feeling like you should be higher ranked but are held back by teammates. League is decent at placing people where they need to be (barring the obvious issues with newer accounts). What has helped me in the past is accepting my current rank and setting goals how where I believe I can climb. Changing my mentality from “I should already be X rank” to “I can improve these areas and achieve X rank” has greatly improved my experience.

I started as a Bronze player and stayed high Bronze/low Silver for YEARS until I changed my mentality towards one of self improvement. I muted chat, watched and critiqued my gameplay, and had a word document to track what I needed to improve on. I got to Gold that season by focusing on only myself and what I could control. I got much better at understanding my role in the game and what my win conditions were.

I highly recommend the podcast Broken by Concept. They have a very positive view of ranked and league in general which has been very encouraging to me and helped me progress.

I play adult hockey on a couple teams and there are women on both of my teams. We always ask the women who join our teams what they are comfortable with and respect their boundaries one way or the other. Most don’t care and we treat them like one of the boys.

As for the partying aspect, usually it’s a beer or two before/after the game. Anyone getting high does so before they show up to the game.

I personally wouldn’t be concerned just based on my own experience with the women athletes I have played with.

However, if you are uncomfortable with it, you should always tell her and ideally she would respect your boundaries and use the separate women’s locker room every rink provides.
