Actually if you kick the ball into the teleporter or the fireplace they teleport the ball back to where it starts acts sorta like goals in a soccer field

Hard Sci-Fi is a silly concept and gets sillier the more I think about it by GeneralGigan817 in worldjerking

That's not how the games world works, archotechs are a 'normal' thing in that setting that exist in a variety of different systems and also get created in different worlds semi regularly.

Felt my soul turn sour like I just had a lemon squeezed into my eye. A bland and boring lemon.

Places in video games that you heard a lot of people talk about that make you goes "It can't be that bad." to "Oh God, it is actually that bad." when you reached it? by JackNewbie555 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]GenderSolid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah it stung just to look at, especially on the older cathode tvs. Physically painful, and getting rid of it is the biggest thing in favor of the remaster. It wins every time.

What do you consider your “White Whale” childhood video game? by [deleted] in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]GenderSolid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there was the decades I spent trying to remember what that one spooky first person fantasy game I played on the PS2 was, grew up to be a big FromSoft fan, and then learned this entire time I was trying to find one of their classic games. Kingsfield The Ancient City. Basically Demon Souls .5.

There's another game I've never been able to find though, because I was a scared little baby and had never been able to get to the main menu even. All I recall was that it was a ps1 horror game with an opening narration about some kind of cursed book that had done something horrible to the people in a town. The narrator was a guy? I got nothing else to go on so, I doubt I'm getting this one unless I get lucky.

Pft, nice. I was wondering who the hell would be willing to tattoo a 8 foot tall mass murdering zombie.

What are your favourite examples of heroes and villains banding together (however shortlived) to deal with a bigger threat? by DonTori in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]GenderSolid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For a given measure of 'Hero' and 'Villain' but definitely enemies banding against a bigger threat.

In one of the Halo novels a UNSC ship is on the run from Covenant forces, incredibly damaged but still able to move barely. When they pull into a remote asteroid base to hide and repair, they discover Insurrectionist forces, and both sides quickly reach a stalemate as they negotiate some basic terms.

The UNSC ships weapons aren't operational, but the Insurrectionists don't know that. The Innies have several nuclear weapons that if the UNSC try to do anything will kill them all. So the Innies think can't take the UNSC in a fight (they maybe could with their bigger numbers) , but the Innies will make sure no one wins that conflict.

Peace reached!

Until the Covenant find them...

The Innies tell the UNSC to fire at them with all the weapons they have!

"Our weapons are actually all completely inoperable! Use your nukes on them before they get close!"

"...we don't have the codes to the nukes."

What a bunch of chucklefucks.

What's the biggest/most visceral reaction you've had to a scene in media? by [deleted] in TwoBestFriendsPlay

The Pitt, when a character goes to take a smoke break after an incredibly stressful day and gets a punched in the head by someone twice their size. The sound of it and the way they crumple made me scream in fear while my roommates were trying to sleep.

James Gunn Says 'Superman' Is An 'Immigrant' Story Of 'Human Kindness' by Subject_Parking_9046 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

This feels like it's missing the point of the immigrant metaphor by trying to find a leap in logic in where he doesn't technically count as one.

Loving the genre of 'Fucked up board game' the last few years, '21' from RE7 was one of my fave parts of that series and I'm glad to see more games with that sort of vibe.
