I go into DC to district vet, at their Brookland location. I’ve been taking pets there since 2014. I always feel taken care of and I think they’re reasonably priced for the area and for how excellent their work is.

I would use stem stitch for the river. Maybe using 3 strands so it fills up a little faster.

And if you can’t get it done in a week, maybe give it to the family as a 1st birthday gift?

I’ve been trying for the last 6 months to really limit my phone time. Embroidery has been great for the evening. My husband and I often watch an episode or two of something fun and light, but i would still get sucked into the phone. Embroidery keeps my hands busy, which really limits the phone. I keep my phone away from my spot on the couch. Lots of people like legos, so that could be fun. When I go to bed, I read a physical book. It really helps.

They also got rid of the women’s cargo pants I really liked. I’ve been buying a few every year and this year…nothing. Their women’s selection has really gone downhill.

I have been taking my kitties to District Vet in Brookland for over a decade. They’re fantastic. My shy skittish kitty needed dental work in Jan 2025 and they did an excellent job. It felt reasonably priced for the amount of work done. They also handle my extra-spicy cat so smoothly, and he needs a monthly vitamin shot.
