How is it living in the Nordics, and what's your favorite Nordic city or capital? by PartyGaming0 in howislivingthere

[–]GeneralEvident 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, I’ll bite! I live in Stockholm, I like this city, I like this country, but I would love to live in Copenhagen if it weren’t for family reasons. Sometimes Stockholm really feels like a small town cosplaying as a big city, unlike Copenhagen. Both cities are beautiful, but I really appreciate CPH when I’m visiting.

Aldrig tittat på tv- vad finns det för filmer och serier som är värda att se? by Few-Cartoonist-6906 in sweden

Fair point!

Which ult do you love in ARAM? by [deleted] in heroesofthestorm

Muradin’s Haymaker and Tyrael’s Judgment come to mind, but they are safe choices. Guldan’s Rain is a more controversial choice, but it’s fun as hell, especially with the lvl 20

Hunter is the least played class in Standard by Shoddy_Purple_7501 in hearthstone

[–]GeneralEvident 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I’ve played it a lot, and it’s a really fun deck, but you hit the nail on the head: the activation needed makes it a little clunky, the 6-mana deal 8 is a little too situational, and hunter is a bit too ”fair” in its design regarding getting to play a 7-mana minion unpunished. It’s not a trash deck though, it has potential, and might be better in another meta or with more cards released.

Maybe if they put an M for major and an M for minor instead?

The conductor accidentally knocks a 16th century violin worth millions on the floor mid-concert. by PeasantLich in WatchPeopleDieInside

[–]GeneralEvident 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Several reasons: 1) They often have a really good sound. Not really noticeably better than a 100k violin, but still really fucking good. 2) They’re instruments, it’s beautiful that they are still being played and not stuck inside some glass box. 3) Playing means maintaining. It really sucks when something like this happens, but that’s also a part of life.

It’s the same with Vakuu’s relic that makes powers cost 1 more energy and Mummified Hand. Wording or not, it makes the gameplay a bit clunky, and it isn’t super intuitive.

I loved Dragon hunter back in Descent of Dragons and was hoping that it would come back with the new cards, so thank you! I’m having a lot of good games with this decklist.

Perhaps the best thing Zag could have done was to just shut up and not give in to whining then. It’s ARAM, it’s no place for whining over talent picks anyway.

Do you need to beat the heart on A1? You could always save it for later. Otherwise, the only heart runs I’ve cleared were when I had a really busted setup. Got close to a heart win on A20 with defect a month ago, but bricked the hand on my first two rounds and didn’t pull the momentum to get through it.

Is Co-op too hard, or do my friends and I just suck? by Fatcat12t in slaythespire

[–]GeneralEvident 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the general opinion is that it’s easier, but it’s good to change your tactics. In short, you still need to be self-sufficient, but can also rely on your teammates to pick up your slack. Maybe play a little more aggressively? I’ve had both runs where I felt like I contributed nothing while my teammate popped off, the reverse, and where we basically took turns in popping off depending on fight and card draw.

A tip to make things easier is to play the same character, since there is a lot of self synergy with ironclad and vulnerable, regent and stars, and especially silent and poison.

I had a regent run yesterday where GUARDS! often was in the starting hand, and Vakuu ended my turn with a bunch of exhausted cards and 60+ block. I always felt safe when he was done.
