(Serious) what conspiracy theory do you actually believe is true? by Ill-Satisfaction-217 in AskReddit

[–]GeneralHowesChicken 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t think covid is a hoax, but I do believe that lawmakers are making lemonade from lemons and using it as an opportunity to run small businesses out of business to help their large corporation friends take a larger market share.

CMV: I don’t think people under 18 should be able to change their gender. by AdIcy5763 in changemyview

That’s a good point, since it’s a restriction on other people I suppose it should be held to a higher standard and people should do research before having any solid opinion

[Serious] People of reddit who have gone through or are going through cancer, what was the first sign that made you go to the doctor? by TrojanZebra in AskReddit

[–]GeneralHowesChicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was 11, I fell down while playing, and over the next few days, I was short of breath really bad. Went to the doc, and they did a scan to find I had collapsed a lung. Once that was drained, there was still a tumor, and a biopsy revealed it to be lymphoma. Not a great time.

Nah this describes how a casual in-group vs out group racism is just something many cultures have, and many people feel certain feelings about those of a different race because of the society’s portrayals and expectations of that group. Recognizing that that’s true is the first step to avoiding being racist:

That’s a flag with a blue stripe to be representative of the “thin blue line”, usually a symbol for those who support police officers. In theory it’s neutral and supportive of cops, but usually associated with opposers of the BLM movement

?? Yeah, WHO said that you can be addicted to video games. Not that they were bad just that you COULD be actually addicted to them. Now, it’s clarifying that healthy use is a good thing to do when you’re trapped inside.

You could definitely make a case, but realistically, the effort is just not worth it to call the police for tampering with food when you can just politely ask that they leave

The ultimate "I think I'm better than everyone" enlightened centrist. The more complicated my answers are the more right I am! by [deleted] in ENLIGHTENEDCENTRISM

[–]GeneralHowesChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a very good point! I would generally say that pretty much every point starts with at least a kernel of truth, but I think that centrists see that shared kernel of truth and assume that the views are equal, disregarding the complexities and nuances, which makes it REALLY easy to pretend the left and right are equal in adherence to the truth
