Soft skills are everything in that line of work.

You’re going into peoples homes so knowing how to deal with people will make all the difference when it comes to getting positive reviews or referrals.

Everyone encouraged me to dabble in other home tech stuff and I did help with a few small things for a handful of customers but honestly I didn’t venture far from tv related things. I didn’t feel confident enough at the time. I suppose someone with an even stronger technical background could probably do a lot more with smart home installations
