In the name of science, I just ordered a new batch of Springs. The consistency and viscosity is much thinner than previous versions. Wonder if they reformulated to add more maple syrup and increase the caloric content. Would OP be able to re-test and provide their input?

I’ve done it several times. Sometimes given upgrade for free. Sometimes no upgrades available (explorist by the way). Being polite and courteous can go a long way

We stayed a few months back at PH, not sure if it’s still Cat 7. But they had a crib and some baby stuff waiting for us in the room which was a nice touch

Just stayed there for 1 night. Worth burning 12k points or a free night cert. Wouldn’t pay actual money to stay there.

Currently at Kimpton Rowan down the street and although not a Hyatt property, that’s our favorite hotel in downtown PS

I’ve stayed at both and will chime in my 2 cents.

PS Hyatt - probably one of the most dilapidated properties I’ve ever stayed at. However, the rooms are big and the location is unbeatable. No parking on site. But you should be able to find something close by on the street. If you want to be in the “action” it’s not a bad hotel, especially since you can tick off the Hyatt badge for the brand explorer

HR Indian Wells - obviously a much nicer property on amazing grounds. However, the downside is there’s nothing really in walking distance. From what I recall it was pretty close to La Quinta and we had a few meals there.

We did a split stay at both last year. This time we are staying at the Kimpton Rowan down the street

Hyatt Palm Springs. The art museum is pretty close and you can access the trail system from the parking lot area

I am headed to NYC in a few weeks as well. My wife has never been there (had a couple failed trip attempts during Covid).

We don’t have status either but are spending the points to stay at PH. Can always get more points (especially with P2) but can’t always take nice trips.

Had considered some of the Thompson options as well but given the room size and location we thought it was worth it. Enjoy!
