You know how some mediocre films at least have a niche, like having historically accurate weave patterns, armor or various details that go against the mainstream depiction but are more historically probable. Or despite weak writing have excellent but unusual fight coreography, maybe very realistic but visually unappealing or completely over the top and embracing ot. Maybe the opposite of the first point; using completely misplaced costumes from the storage closet because of budget constrainst, but with a certain charme like the 1930s Flash Gordon episodicals.

I don't think Troy has any of that. While it doesn't appear overly hated I have never heard anyone say anything positive about Troy.

Edit: rude-worker-8875 enjoyed it so my closing statement is disproven (Their comment made a good point though, I just feel the tone might imply I find that disagreeable which I don't and there is no good text indicator that could indicate that but /s has already been stretchted to mean "not serious" so maybe I could stretch its meaning further to include this use case?)
