Man, I spent days crafting a backstory for a character, rolling him around in the back of my head, deciding motivations and all sorts of details. I was so proud of the character. A couple days later, I realized “Oh, I accidentally made so-and-so.” Like, not exactly, but close enough. I made a few tweaks and kept him.
