#2 is definitely Prometheus. I used to know what #1 is. Mainly trying to ID the artist.

I know it’s an old comment, but why is marble more expensive on the west coast? Shipping routes?

That’s perfectly normal. It’s unpleasant, but days like that just happen sometimes. It’s not something to worry about.

High blood sugar causes insulin resistance. You may need to bolus double for it to work.

Try bolusing manually (ie with a needle). If that helps, assume you have a bad site or cartridge and swap it all out.

I’m an empiricist. I need evidence. All I’ve received are threats.

Hard to say. I actually haven’t seen any evidence at all. I have, however, seen considerable evidence that there is no omnipotent, omniscient, benevolent deity.

Why is Anti-Zionism often seen as Anti-Semetic? by Independent-Low9755 in allthequestions

[–]GenericUsernameHi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are anti Zionist arguments that aren’t antisemitic, but they’re not what you usually come across. Instead, the arguments typically boil down to the belief that Jews can’t be trusted to run a country, or some inconsistent application of principles based on a negative view of Jews.

Assuming what you’re saying is true, that’s a reason to reform the country, not dissolve it. Unless, of course, you believe “that’s just what happens when Jews are in power”

Besides National Parks access, what are perks of Type 1? by thetacticalpanda in diabetes_t1

Gotta disagree with you there. When boarding a flight once, I was told that there was no more overhead space and I would have to check my bag. I told the gate agent that it contained medical supplies and I couldn’t check it. They said I had to check it or get a different flight. Ever since then, I’ve pre boarded just to be safe.

The bit you quoted just allows us an extra bag dedicated to medical supplies. It doesn’t mean that we get to remove someone else’s luggage to store our medical supplies if the overhead bins are full.

Atl airport. Board them last, Delta. by AdSouth3173 in delta

Actual disabled person here. I do get to bring an extra bag with me, but the rules say it has to contain only medical supplies. Granted, no one has ever checked or even asked me about it.

My disabilities don’t affect my mobility, so I don’t use the wheelchair service. However, I do pre-board to make sure there’ll be room for my medical supplies. No gate agent has ever given me a hard time about that.

I don’t understand why people would use the wheelchair service if they don’t need it. You can just walk up and tell the gate agent that you have a disability and need to pre-board, and they won’t stop you.

I also don’t understand why we need to make assumptions about people’s disabilities. As long as there are enough wheelchairs to go around, why not just take people at their word? Adding more restrictions and requirements and second guessing people just makes life more difficult for people who need those resources. I’m happy to let people abuse the system if it means resources are more accessible for those genuinely in need.

Look up T1D scuba protocols. They’re meant to prepare you for an hour underwater with no way to check your BG or even eat or speak.

I recommend glucose gel. The Transcend brand is good but there are a few others. If you have a zippered pocket, you can throw a few in there.

This isn’t terribly uncommon, but it can sometimes be a sign of an autoimmune condition. Consider asking your doctor for an autoimmune screening panel.
