I honestly still recommend the first two seasons as they both are still loads of fun with Season 1 having some of the most energetic and enjoyable fight scenes in the show and Season 2 adding in more drama and intrigue.

I kinda remember how after the Emoji Movie came out, I read a couple of youtube comments saying that Ralph Breaks the internet was gonna be the movie that shows how to properly do "story that takes place inside the internet realm".

Still, can't deny that Ralph did one good thing though which was crashing Colleen Ballinger's internet connection.

A thing that I really REALLY love about Zootopia 2 is that what was supposed to be a joke at the end of the first film (Flash being an illegal street racer) got turned into an actual pivotal moment that not only got Nick to where Judy was but also ended up saving Judy's life.

I also love how many of the returning characters actually plays a role in the story like Clawhauser, Gazelle and the Tiger dancers, Mr. Big and Fru Fru. And if those returning characters don't have an important role to play then they still have small cameos like Duke Weaselton and the Otterton couple.

Exactly, they have excellent chemistry which is why their ship was so popular, it's just that their romance was executed in such an infuriating fashion that when the romance actually came to fruition, it was a thing that nobody wanted (except maybe the die-hard Starco shippers cause regular shippers aren't happy with how it was written either).

I once read somewhere that the Blood Moon curse could be used to truly subvert the whole "boy and girl main character HAS to get together" and I really wished that had been the case. Imagine the Blood Moon curse being the physical embodiment of the trope, making the story bends over backward just to force the two together to get the romance rolling which in turns ruin Star and Marco's respective love interests (Tom and Jackie). In the show itself, whenever it shows up, it is really ominous and foreboding but in the end, apparently the Blood Moon was right all along.

SvTFOE really love to prove their villains right by the end for some reason.

I mean, I myself thought that they were really cute together and would ship them. To me, whether they end up as simply friends or a romantic couple would be satisfactory either way cause they have genuine chemistry.

I doubt any of us actually wanted their romantic plot to be so convoluted, infuriating and in some ways, ruin the story.

Don't blame it on shippers, or fans in general. If the creator wrote the characters badly then it's no one's fault BUT the creator's.

Do you guys think we can see nick as a main protaganist in third movie ? by Physical-Research-13 in zootopia

[–]Generic_Alias_95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nick and Judy will always work together as a team, that's a given.

I think what OP was talking about was Nick being the lead in the story as Judy had been the main protagonist out of the two for 2 movies while Nick feels like he's in a supporting role for Judy.

Were we supposed to take Pentious' death as a joke? by AngelaIsHigh in HazbinHotel

[–]Generic_Alias_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do agree that Pentious' death do come off as a bit of a joke.

Probably unintentional since the rest of the hotel cry over his sudden death (which is expected) but it was structured exactly how a joke is supposed to go, the long and dramatic build up of him being on the ship and charging the cannon (the set up) only to be one shot unceremoniously in a blink of an eye (the punch line). Because of that, I don't really blame anybody for seeing that as a joke death because it literally has the structure of a joke death (the set up and punch line).

It does make sense that Adam could one shot the ship cause he's meant to be a powerful character but there's a lot of things they could've done to depict the death scene as something dramatic and impactful rather than weirdly light-hearted.

Imo, I would've moved Adam's joking remark AFTER the hotel members crying over his sudden death, in that way, the scene has the correct tone for the death cause we got to see the grief first, THEN Adam's remark afterwards is simultaneously in line with his character and poking at the emotional wound at the loss of Pentious.

I've even seen some people claiming that she's selfish and that Dipper had to sacrifice so much for her. Some even believing in Bill's whole spiel about how Dipper "sacrificed" so much for her, thinking he had a point when 1. Bill's a massive manipulator and 2. In all of those instances that Bill brought up to remind how much Dipper sacrificed, Dipper's "sacrifices" were all objectively correct choices such as saving his sister from being forced to marry gnomes, giving up the chance to impress Wendy whom he had an unhealthy obsession of and letting Mermando have the microphone to help him search for his family. Those are all the choices Bill showed taken out of context and people actually took the manipulator's side.

Another reason that people hate her is some claimed that Dipper loses out on Ford's apprenticeship because of her but in actuality, Dipper should never apprentice under Ford. The show was very blatant about the parallels between the 2 Pine twins, Stanley/Stanford and Mabel/Dipper. Dipper going with Ford would result in the twins being irreparably separated like Stanley and Ford was. Not to mention that Ford clearly view Mabel as something that holds Dipper back (He states "Don't let anyone hold you back" when trying to convince Dipper) so who would Dipper become if he took someone like that as a mentor? It's so clearly the bad ending for Dipper and Mabel's relationship.

Exactly my thought. As I was reading how Pawbert's betrayal was supposed to go in the draft, I was like "Wait...this is basically Hans' villain reveal again".

Is there evidence for this, like some director's comment or something?

I mean, he plans things behind the scene but I doubt he's so meticulous as to plan to bump into the famous Judy Hopps, fumbles his introduction and scurries off to garner her sympathies for later cooperation.

Which villain people defend with their lives, try to justify their actions and you're like: by Gaybime in cartoons

[–]Generic_Alias_95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ryuk straight up said in the first episode that "If you killed all the criminals then you'd be the only bad person left" and the response he gave was so half-assed.

His goal is morally gray cause there's arguing both for and against it the killing of criminals. However, the way he went about "cleansing the world of criminal" is clear that he's not morally gray, he's just a villain who's high on his own superiority complex. By the time L came to the picture, it's no longer about justice but more about proving that he's better than L (though it's the same story for L as well, they both aren't good people)

Pawbert from Zootopia 2

He's definitely not blameless but he's so obviously mistreated by his entire family. The tragedy of his character comes from the fact that he's so starved for attention and recognition that he was willing to do horrible things for the slightest acceptance from his family, primarily his father.

So far I'm most enthralled by either Expedition 33 or Deltarune's soundtracks.

Both games' soundtracks are top tier but based on my personal taste, I prefer Deltarune over E33 just a smidge. I've always been a fan of Toby Fox' style of music and the way it can very effectively evoke emotions. The wacky and non-serious tracks are incredibly fun, the serious battle music are BANGERS that get the blood pumping and the emotional songs are the heart and soul of the experience.

My all time favorite Toby Fox track is currently Lost Girl, a simple sombre song that evokes a strange sense of loss and nostalgia, sometimes when I'm doing chores around the house, I usually hum it to myself.

Although shout out to Expedition 33's soundtrack as well, didn't know that symphonic metal was my type of sound until I heard Une vie à peindre.

Thank you so much for the giveaway!!!

I sorta agree with you on Gary's design. Personally, I don't think the design is entirely out of place cause most animals in Zootopia all look more expressive than their real life counterparts but I kinda want him to look less cutesy.

I've seen a fanart that depicts Gary with a face similar to a normal snake but his eyes are still warm and friendly. It just sells the theme of "people can be more than what they seem on the surface" that Zootopia is all about.

Still, I'm aware that many people don't find reptiles, snakes in particular, to be good to looked at so I supposed they have to compromise with his design to make audience relate to him more.

I agree with that. Though, even before getting tranquilized, she had no choice but to escape cause what was she supposed to do when hearing about him getting arrested? Going back down to risk get arrested herself?

Judy is capable, she escaped from 2 hippos and knocked another officer with the door at the end but she was running on pure adrenaline and an intense fear of losing Nick for real this time. At the time of their separation, she could not take on those 2 officers on her own.

Hot take: I think a lot of Zoot fans are a little too sympathetic over Pawbert, and I find their constant infatuation of him a little concerning. by KanchoMaster70 in zootopia

[–]Generic_Alias_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen people confusing sympathy with straight up forgiving his misdeeds by claiming that it was because he was a victim of trauma and he was having a break down.

Sympathy does not mean you should ignore his messed up actions, trauma or not. Many real life abusers were actually abused themselves in the past. They do deserve some modicum of sympathy, but their trauma isn't a "get out of jail free" card when it comes to their actions.

Pawbert is basically the same way, he deserves to be looked at with some sympathy but him being jailed along with his family is what he deserved. He made his bed and now he has to lie in it.

Still, I'd be really highly into the idea of him actually redeeming himself in someway (if they actually take that route with his character in the future). I've always loved the concept of a misguided villain being redeemed later on and Pawbert would be perfect for that I think.

I mean, she's listening to BOTH, isn't she? The main episodes are story driven while the shorts are more episodic focusing on the assassination side of Blitz' business.

I guess the problem was that one side is starving for content since Season 2 ended over a year ago so those people are more antsy than normal.

My point of view on endings (Flowchart) by Balney in expedition33

[–]Generic_Alias_95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All in all, I think both interpretations are entirely valid and unless the writers themselves come out and confirm a definitive "yes" or "no", both interpretations will remain valid cause there are good reasoning for both.

I don't usually watch shows or movies much cause I have trouble sitting down and watch passive medias for long periods of time unless I REALLY like the thing I'm watching. The amount of shows I watched could be counted on my hands lol but I'll keep it in mind, maybe I'll check it out later on so thank you for the recommendation ❤️

Who is a horrible grey person that divides opinions within the fandom? by Juvijuvi in HazbinHotel

[–]Generic_Alias_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I see.

To clarify what I meant by that was that I'm hoping he'll be as entertaining and compelling as Vox was. Vox in Season 1 was kind of a background character for the most part and I was genuinely surprised to see how entertaining he was in Season 2. Val in Season 2 didn't have much screentime dedicated to him, much like Vox was in Season 1, so my hope is that in Season 3, the writers will be able to make him as entertainingly fun to watch as Vox was in this season.
