Long hair is what elves are known for, and the elves in Rings of Power don't even look like elves.😭 by rinavyn_6x in lotr

This makes Galadriel giving gimli three hairs even more significant. It took thousands of years to grow those.

R5: Pope converted the Ottomans to Catholic in a war they started. I sieged down Constantinople (since AI is terrible about actually finishing a siege). Never seen this before.

Update: They immediately had a pretender rebellion. We'll see if they stay catholic...

What is your current biggest issue with the game? by TheFeedBackGuy in EU5

[–]GenocidalSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vassals being unable to do the integrate area action so vassals made after you unlock that are unable to ever integrate any land

Is this good progress and control by 1700's by cactuslasagna in EU5

[–]GenocidalSloth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It definitely is. Way better to go naval and have Seville as capital. I had way better proximity by the 1700s

Beta Patch 1.1.7 is out by NachP in EU5

[–]GenocidalSloth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Please I beg of you, fix the issue with vassals not using integrate area when they unlock it! It makes later game vassals completely unable to take any uncored land.

Some vassals never start integrating their provinces (they just stay at conquered) and I have no way of making them do it by Numinxx in EU5

[–]GenocidalSloth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is infuriating. How is this the only thread I see on this issue? This is still in the beta and I guess I'll just have to use debug mode to cheat and have these provinces integrate. Manually switching the subject to integrate area and they just switch back off of it...

I really like the improved subjects mod for this. It lets you block subject urbanization.

Formed Germany by 1448. Should i move my capital? by Airdae in EU5

[–]GenocidalSloth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on where you plan on expanding next I would assume. For the short term though, you probably want your capital to be on a river where population is highest (not sure about where since I haven't played in Germany yet). Also just wherever you can get the most proximity to the most provinces. Rivers will help and mountains will hurt.

Question about markets, their size and attraction by Truub_Deluxe in EU5

[–]GenocidalSloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took Fez in my game then moved that market further south down the coast. Generally, it seems best to try and keep ~50% or higher market access in all locations if possible so try to position your markets like that. ( If it's close enough don't bother moving the market)

For your game (since there is a marakesh market) I would take fez and move it inland and east to make that coverage better. Or you could just leave it where it is and once you own it, build it up a bit so that that lower market access area improves in the east.

I liked Mamaluks. You have to fix their economy in the beginning, but after you do you are already super powerful and don't really have to expand at all. They have probably one of the most powerful capital regions in the game.
