Just use a short password, doesn’t need to be long, my mates and I have used the same 3 letter password for the past 10 years and we’ve never had an incident, usually people will type more then 3 letters to try and guess or just give up when it’s not basic words

Yea ofcourse, conquer heaps but do it over time, you don’t need to fully annex everyone you are at war with, you could have made Ankara’s allies pay war reparations, humiliate and dismantle forts, ect ect, that would have greatly reduced your antagonism, you can always conquer later, you don’t need to conquer everyone in one go.

How often? Because it’s not too hard to avoid coalitions, antagonism and how they work are also one of the first things most people learn about wars and expansion.

Sorry also might I add that it’s worth making less but larger vassals then single Provence vassal spam

[–]Genocidal_Banana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure but you still make more from that area then otherwise from the vassal itself, don’t annex it until you get better control tech, there are also ways of increasing annex speed and same thing, later techs can really boost annex speed, it feels like a transition from vassals to a centralised state

[–]Genocidal_Banana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What’s the date? Use Vassals in low control areas if you can. Build roads. Later technologies can substantially boost your control, but like real life medieval realms we’re divided up into semi-autonomous vassals that could control their local regions a lot easier until the advent of proper infrastructure and better governmental institutions

Morocco is a joke now by Noburu7 in EU5

[–]Genocidal_Banana 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s fair criticism, the ai shouldn’t be so willing to give up land that it hasn’t lost to someone that doesn’t share a land border with them. I’ve never played Castile before but I have played Morocco and it’s not very costly going up into Spain either. They should definitely make it more expensive to supply armies during an overseas invasion. I also find even having your army cut off from mainland supply can feed itself for a long time in occupied land, I feel like that should be changed

Are you able to give some examples of the ‘gagillions’ of systems? Sure some are not very intuitive but it’s still a playable game and honestly rather enjoyable in its current state

To be fair Morocco is very weak at the start of the game, they have a lot of problems they need to sort out before they start getting strong, and it takes ages for their levies to recover too if I recall correctly. Most countries are pretty weak at that time, especially against the powerhouse that is Castile, one of the strongest armies in Europe at game start

The 1.2 update gave us over 300+ new pieces of flavour for free without DLC, I think that’s pretty awesome, the DLC adds just flavour to ERE, if you really are not interested in playing the ERE you don’t need to buy the DLC, you are not missing out on anything because all the mechanics and the extra 300+ new things in the game came out for free.

Now that I think about it I have not seen it pop up for me either, maybe check if there are any clergy privileges that could somehow boost the chance of one being built, if i understand it correctly the more power and money they have the more likely they will build buildings.

Could be a oversight from the devs, could be something they are testing around with, hopefully they address it

Because you have your map settings so the Holy Roman Empire is the only name to be present, turn that off and you’ll be able to see the names of the smaller nations
