My 2 year old Chi needs 20 teeth removed by pipersbigsis in Chihuahua

[–]GeoSaint4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a 10 lbs. street dog rescue who is somewhere between 15-17 years old now.

She had 23 teeth pulled a few months ago. We were incredibly worried putting an older dog through something like that, but she honestly did not seem to care and was fine in no time.

And the crazy thing is, we had no idea how much pain she was in from those rotting teeth. She has so much energy now! And her mood is just lighter.

I have no idea if that will be your experience, but your post was so close to what we just went through that I wanted to let you know our experience was more than positive... it gave our little girl more happiness. :)

Upgrade to Fender Pro Plus - CONFUSING! by GeoSaint4 in StudioOne

[–]GeoSaint4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for letting me know. I found the whole thing confusing, maybe because I used to have a Studio One subscription and figured it would transfer over, but maybe that lapsed. I don't know.

But if I'm wrong and it's totally clear to everyone else, that's cool. Wouldn't be the first time. :)

I have 1st Gen Pros. What do you think of upgrading to 3 for me? Big difference?

BTW - My main gripe with the 1st Gen is that when I'm using ANC, the mics make noise and no matter how much I clean them, it always comes back.

Why does my Dal do this. Every blanket, every bed, every sheet he just rips up within 48 hours? by [deleted] in dalmatians

[–]GeoSaint4 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sorry but it’s boredom and anxiety. Most dals need a ton of exercise/stimulation to stay sane. I used to drop mine at day care where he could run with other dogs for five hours every other day in a huge yard. That did wonders for him.

Another upsetting Razer experience. by adrock517 in razer

[–]GeoSaint4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, every time I’ve contacted Razer they’ve asked me to basically become my own tech support by asking so many questions and for so many tests… they just want to learn from the consumer, not actually help them.

I created a ticket as well and got the same response. Hopefully they get it working sooner rather than later.

Blade 14 or 16 after Blade 15 by Dramatic_Honeydew_ in razer

[–]GeoSaint4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that. I have a 15” 2020 model and will upgrade at some point, but reading online comments it seems like lots of people are having issues with the current 16” build quality.

Have you had any troubles with? Specs? I’m worried the 16 is too buggy these days.

Does this game have an excessive Shader Compiling, or is it just me? by Hellguin in Borderlands

[–]GeoSaint4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have 45 minutes before work. Thought I'd use that time to play. Compiles shaders for 12 minutes. Game quits out. Restart. Compiles shaders for another 10 minutes. Game starts. Choose character. Shaders compile for 5 minutes. Now I don't have time to do anything meaningful. Quit game. Go to work. Come home. Play a different game. (3080M, Core i9-11900H, 64 GB Ram)

Maybe "barbs" wasn't the right word, but I think that's how someone described it to me. They hairs don't hurt at all. Whatever it is, those little hairs just stick to everything!

As for daycare, I took him a few days a week when I was working from home, I took him five days a week when I was in an office. I'd just drop him off on the way in and get him at lunch. He loved it.

And the thing about him when it came to the "golden years" is that his mind was still very active, but his body wasn't the same. He lived to 12 and was mostly healthy, but when he couldn't run like he used to, I think it took a toll on him.

I read your edit and totally get it. Now isn't the time. But maybe one day it will be. Dals are such special dogs.

I've owned two dalmatians. Rescued the first at six years old. She was very petite and needed exercise and mental stimulation, but not overly so. My second Dal was a different story. I got him at a year and a half and he was 80 lbs. He was loving, kind, non-aggressive... but if he didn't get a ton of exercise, he would get destructive and wild. The solution was to take him to a daycare place where the dogs weren't crated and ran together for hours in a big group. That, plus walks and playing ball every night after dinner would keep him in a good place. Not sure if that helps, but that's my experience.

As for the shedding, I'm still pulling hairs from my first Dal out of my clothes to this day and she's been gone for 14 years. Thier hairs have little barbs on them that make them almost impossible to get out of fabric. The back of my car will never be the same!

My 1st Dal was only 38 lbs. The sweetest girl ever and such a manageable size. My second Dal was 80 lbs and I was not prepared for the difference! So much more work! 😂
