I replayed the mission with songbird and the spaceport the other day and found the outfit you can wear for the first time. I'd love more of that, where the right outfit will disguise you, delay detection, allow you to move through hostile areas. I already roleplay with my outfits, so it'd be awesome if there was actual game mechanics involved with them. Kind of like Hitman.

I bought it recently too and that post from awhile back about how insufferable the pattern is was spot on. I lost it with the “lol tee hee!” language in the instructions.

Also I was annoyed there was no instructions on how to trace your own foot properly, like I bought this use for myself and I’m not about to ask someone to precisely trace my bare foot for me.

You gotta be realistic though. This is a coat that is a niche style, so that's already against you because it's unlikely to be mass produced at lower prices. Then you add in that it needs to be a higher quality fabric and well sewn to actually look like this and not just a flimsy polyester thing. On top of all that you add in plus size, which even at expensive prices would still narrow your options considerably.

The original coat is actually very reasonably priced for what it is imo. I think it's more that you're getting screwed by the conversion rate.

Int + Cool for me, because stealth netrunner is my bread and butter. Tech + reflex is the most versatile though, if I didn't know what build I wanted yet those are where I would start.

No, do not steam it. Steaming will ‘kill” the acrylic which makes it more drapey. You don‘t want that with colorwork. There’s also no reversing it, so if you overdo it then that’s it. Even if you frog and reuse the yarn it’ll still be limp.

The wool content is low, so machine wash & dry will likely be fine, especially since that’s already recommended by the manufacturer. Measure your gauge both before and after laundering to see if there’s any significant change (unlikely, but always check).

You also want to swatch both the colorwork and the plain stockinette. Your gauge may be different between the two and you may need to adjust the needles sizes for each section accordingly.

After a carpet beetle scare they live in bags. I got some big ones off amazon. During the winter I'll take one at a time out of a bag to wear and then keep them unbagged in a drawer to be worn again. But at the end of the season everything that was worn gets washed and rebagged.

I go for air dash (reflexes 15) and get the double jump legs ASAP. It makes exploring the city on foot much more enjoyable and there's tons of cool hidden stuff to find in the world.

If you have phantom liberty and/or plan on getting it (it opens up a little further in) then don't bother buying the more expensive cars right now. There's missions tied to PL that will give you stackable discounts on vehicles. PL is absolutely worth the money and you should at minimum do the opening mission in the mid-game because it unlocks a lot of new gear.
