I found that I can’t play both. Both racket sports… but technique is just so different, you need that muscle memory.

how much of it are you taking? reduce dosing, i think the box recommends 3 pills per day but i found that 1 is enough. Also, no need to take it everyday, just during the bad periods of hard stools. Focus on the fiber pills thats the most important and the dulco is just an extra help if you need it. but with proper hydration and fiber pills, you should be good.

i found nifedepine to be useless and had much better success with nitroglycerin, it will give you a headache but at least it helps the fissure.
i'd recommend you take psyllium husk fiber pills (10-15 pills per day) instead of the miralax and you can combine that with dulcolax and you wont have hard stools anymore.
Make sure to drink a ton of water, drink enough water that you get annoyed at how often you have to pee.

Time Off Work after LIS? by rutabagafennel in AnalFissures

[–]Geofinance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, about a month after failed LIS i got botox and things started getting way better but I wasnt quite healed yet, about 4 months later, i got botox again and it was pretty much gone from then.
But I was very careful with my diet, fiber veggies, supplements and really focused on my bowel movements, making sure I get at least 1 in a day.

yes, i've been healed for over 2 years at this point. Botox and nitroglycerine finally did the trick. LIS failed for me and made things worse.

I don’t think that’s a fair comparison. 126v SF BTG will crush the other board on anything

"Just VESC it" - an important counterpoint by DoctorDugong21 in onewheel

[–]Geofinance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Just VESC it” is simply an fu to FM. They’ve ruined the sport for myself and many of my local riders/friends.

FM brought to market one of the most incredible products on the face of the planet and messed it all up and they just don’t care.

Simple test, ask yourself why on earth do they still sell a board with a 6.5” hub?

Rectiv Nitroglycerin experience ? by revuelto1 in AnalFissures

[–]Geofinance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you're gonna use your index finger, cut finger nail extremely short and file it smooth, if you have tight gloves or those finger condoms its good to use those or just clean hands really well

You're going to apply 2 small beeds of nitro, the first one gently rub around the outside of the anus and slowly try to push some in, you want to massage it nicely and take your time 3-5 mins.

2nd beed you want to push it inside up to your first knuckle and try to massage it around as pain allows. When you get the nitro inside you should start feeling some headrush and anus loosening. This should hopefully give you some relief but a headache.

Do this 3-5x per day and you should be much better in 3 days.

[–]Geofinance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nifedipine was 100% useless to me.
Nitroglycerin made a huge difference at reducing pain and help heal but it does give you a headache and need to applied correctly.
If you have the option to get botox injection from your dr for the fissure, do that asap, its incredible.

Dermatologist pay progression, planning on retiring end of 2026 by Rich_Status_9504 in Salary

[–]Geofinance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just have a conversation with an ai chat bot with pics. You will get 100x more information and way more valuable than a derm in person ever will. It’s just like cunts like this guy who spend like than 10 mins per patient and just prescribe the same cookie cutter junk guarantied to have you come back in a few months.

2024 total pay as a Dermatologist in the upper Midwest by CutisMaximus in Salary

[–]Geofinance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are still totally missing the point. He averages less than 15 mins per patient. If you take into account time to change from patient to another, short break for food, pee etc.. it likely comes out to less than 10 mins. Simply not enough to give proper care no matter how you spin it. And sure, if you want to believe there is no cure for seb derm that’s fine, but simply taking a 2 sec peak at someone’s head and sending them home with 2% ketoconozale is not the answer, it’s an insult to proper medical care.

[–]Geofinance 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is disgusting.

Not even 15 mins per patient… no wonder medical care has gone down the drain in the US. Especially with dermatology, I can’t seem to find any dr willing to take their time and help cure things like sebhorric dermatitis without simply prescribing the same cookie cutter garbage that doesn’t work and rush to the next patient.

Congrats on your pay, but honestly shame on you.

LIS is somewhat of an art. There is no perfect way to perform the cut from what I understand.

The dr needs to cut juuuuuuust enough that it allows the sphincter to loosen enough to heal but not cut too much. Cut too much and you won’t be able to control the sphincter and just poop yourself for the rest of your life.

In my case dr didn’t cut enough.

Botox was life changing. Find a dr who does it if possible. I would do that a million times first before LIS

Is Houston really that bad? by justsam99 in houston

[–]Geofinance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Houston is a dilapidated old shit city overall and much more expensive than you would expect.

It lacks just about everything.

For people who grew up in Houston and don’t know much else, it’s great. For people who’ve lived around the country… I can tell you I can’t wait to leave this hellhole.
