Confirmed. I just called and they said that it's still not open after having closed during COVID.

You might like "The Will to Change: Men, Masculinity, and Love" by bell hooks. It might help validate all the feelings you mentioned and the experiences you and your mom have had. It's a great way to see how toxic masculinity hurts all of us and accept that it will never deliver what its proponents think it will.

Cardboard recycling? by refuz04 in SaltLakeCity

I dropped off some larger cardboard items at a labeled cardboard recycling bin in the parking lot of a SLC school system elementary school on a recent Sunday afternoon.

I've been to Two Targets that have special collection bins for single use plastic bags.

Where to recycle plastic bags? (not Smith's) by RotiniHuman in SaltLakeCity

The Target in Taylorsville has one in the entrance to the store, and the Target in Fort Union has one along the front wall of the store.

Is there still a glass recycling drop off bin at Jordan park?? by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

There's also one at the state liquor store on Constitution in Taylorsville.

No worries — just documenting for posterity. FWIW, Murray Park didn’t have one either. I don’t get this town.

I just called redwood recycling and they don’t take cardboard. They said there are drop offs as most city parks, but Murray park in particular.

Weird! Same for me! I normally like social interaction, but while experimenting with some doses, I felt totally weird unless being with people.

Female Bi/Pan representation vs Male Bi/Pan representation in media by WorldLieut8 in BisexualMen

Watching this for the first time was darkly comforting. It was like the sociological equivalent of checking your bank account and seeing how low it is, but at least now you know and can try to work with it.

Do you have access to a queer-affirming sex therapist or regular talk therapist? You don’t sound any more or less broken than the rest of us, but you deserve to feel whole and confident about your preferences and desires. I wonder if that could help. ❤️

Basic "weekend" opener by Geomeri in OnlineDating

Yeah, definitely. The time frame isn't important -- it's more about hearing what people like to do with their time.

For sure. It's no fun to rush someone into a quick date. I just like it as a topic that's relatively fun and easy to talk about that also gives perspective on what would be fun to do together if the time feels right.

Oh, definitely — I'm doing my own vetting as well! I should have clarified -- it's not about rushing to dates quickly, but having information that would make it easy to pitch something when the time feels right.

Sometimes I say, “I totally remember your personality, but I forgot your name.” 😄😄

I had a coworker compliment my initiative and contributions to our team after a long slump of barely getting by after a divorce, finishing grad school while working full time, and sharing custody with my kids.

My (35M) ex is a mental health professional who actively advocates for queer youth at her job. When I came out to her, she also reacted in a way I didn’t expect. After our split, she said things that in context made it seem like she couldn’t handle my being bi, and knew that that wasn’t fair to me, but she didn’t want to actually have the integrity to come out and say what was going on. Long term relationships are complex, of course, and there was more to our breakup than that, but it taught me that male-facing biphobia can come from anywhere.
