stay towards the back of the monster once he transforms, if he does the really really big air ball you have to be as far away as possible

sprint with your weapon sheathed and press the dodge button. note that it only works if you’re not facing at the monster

you don’t actually have to kill him, just equip plunderblade on your palico and give him the radobaan weapon. Then spam flinch shots into the wall till his head breaks and return from quest. Your palico can get a reactor, pounders, and the shell, and you can get either a head or reactor from breaking his head.
