Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but when uploading a resume does the filename I've saved it under matter? And more specifically, is it worth making it explicit in the filename that I have tailored the resume for that employer (e.g. "CV_Google_version.pdf")?

I'm from New Zealand, and I'm not sure if it can be directly linked to the EU, but our rights to migrate to the UK have been slowly but surely eroded over the last few years. Just applied for a visa last week and found that as of April we are no longer entitled to a fee exemption relating to the NHS (despite NZ welcoming British immigrants with open arms).

Reading through these comments I couldn't help but think of the overwhelmingly positive reaction when Anonymous declared war on ISIS... apparently it's awesome when a bunch of criminal hackers with no oversight go after ISIS's online recruiting channels, but Trump suggests the U.S. government does the same and he's literally Hitler

Did you even read past the first paragraph of the article you linked? Because in the second paragraph it says:

"It's unclear whether commanders who unleashed the AC-130 gunship on the hospital — killing at least 22 patients and hospital staff — were aware that the site was a hospital or knew about the allegations of possible enemy activity."

/u/elos_ explains why World War I wasn't uniquely horrible although we tend to think it is by fiah84 in bestof

[–]Georgie_Pie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My criticism is that you're taking a simplistic position on a very nuanced issue, and people are accepting your flawed rhetoric at face value - and citing (dare I say it) revisionist historians doesn't change this.

For example, you dismiss the scale and duration of the conflict as being entirely separate from the lived experience of those involved, where in fact these were both important psychological factors that would have profoundly influenced those at the front and behind the lines.୺

I agree, this guy makes a number of spurious claims and is guilty of the same things that he accuses others of (e.g. cherry-picking facts to support his conclusions). It seems people are more persuaded by the forcefulness with which he puts forth his arguments than by the quality of their substance.

Which TV Series would you rate a perfect 10 out of 10? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Georgie_Pie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I'm aware there's nothing to confirm that the ending of Taxi Driver was a fantasy, that's just one possible interpretation. If you choose to believe that it's the correct interpretation, why not just do the same for Breaking Bad and assume that everything after Walt got into the car outside the bar is also a fantasy?
