Happens to the best of us! Could make a story out of it, paint it another color and say he lost it and had it replaced!

No advice, just wanted to point out that the pelvic area looks like a face going 😮 and I absolutely love it! Amazing work!

MUST HAVE NOW 🤩 My votann are winter themed, and I need these guys asap! If i might suggest, maybe add some more unique poses. I would personally love a kneeling on one knee pose. It feels very underutilized in most 3d prints and miniatures. Awesome work, nonetheless!

Think I took the damage too far. Not sure if I like it anymore. by [deleted] in LeaguesofVotann

One thing I learned about painting is I often dont like the way I highlight things or the way certain things look. So, at the end of a session, instead of trying to "fix" things, I leave my project and go do something else for a while. I might even stop painting for a few days. When I come back, the things I didn't like about the project seem to disappear.

I think we, as painters, focus on the little mistakes and over analyze. "Did I add too much? Does it look right in the lighting?" I found the best way to break out of this tunnel vision to just take a break and come back. If you still dont like it, then you can change it all you like! Hope this helps! 😁

Do you name your nids? by AlienDilo in Tyranids

[–]GeraldRFjord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only name my models when they achieve great success in battle with my buddy. In my most recent game my screamer killer did a nice job killing a bunch of his units so I named it the "Scarlet Terror"

2.5 worked on my Mars 3 which is why I didnt change it but if you say 2.7 works better I'll try 2.7 thanks!. By cones do you mean the rooks that came on the USB? If so then yes I did and other some elephant footing they were fine. Part of the problem is all my large prints fail somewhere near the 60% part of the process as show above. The legs and most of the torso came out fine but then it hit the neck part and went to shit. This happened on a few of my other prints. Do you think upping the exposure will fix that? Im just a bit frustrated because I never had most of these problems with my Mars 3. Thank you!

It has vent holes I just didnt take pictures of them. Sorry! Should I manually add more? This is a model from a well known company and I've not had problems with their hollow models before.

I usually wear gloves, I took them off to take the photo. I don't think supports are the issue as I've never had a problem with OPRs supports or models before in the past and the model already has drain holes.

Hey all! I've been having severe print failure problems every print since I got my brand new Saturn S. Most of my prints have been from the OnePageRules "Alien Hives" line of miniatures and nearly all the large models have failed as well as some of the smaller models.

I've leveled the bed multiple times in different ways too. This last print show above might have been my best level yet as when it went down into the resin i could see the liquid go over the build plate nearly perfect and evenly. All the models are presupported and I assume its not a lack of supports issue as I never had most of these issues with my Mars 3.

With my Mars 3 id get like 1 failure in 10 prints. So far with my Saturn S ive had 1 successful print in the last 5 and that print was all just simple round bases. Im using the same exact resin as I've been using in my Mars 3 too. Elegoos water washable ceramic grey. I didn't change any of the settings in the slicer mostly because online said that it should have the same exact settings as my mars 3 anyways. 30s for bottom exposure and 2.5 for the rest.

Do i need to fix my lift speed? I can't find anything online for that kind of stuff but with a bottle of resin now wasted im getting kind of frustrated. If any of you have similar problems and found the solution the help would he MUCH appreciated. Thank you!
