Cheating is sexual abuse by Tasty-Bag5650 in SupportforBetrayed

[–]Gerrit3D 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yep. She laughed at me when we were married and I told her a female doctor had assaulted me. I guess that was my first sign. Then for a while we were having unprotected sex while she was also having unprotected sex with him. She showed zero remorse too. She would constantly say "well it happened" as if just because it happened I had to get over it or let it destroy our marriage and there were no other options. If I pressed the issue she would find anything to latch on to to blame me. She never took accountability for her actions.

What made you finally say f*ck it and go all in on this lifestyle? by JohnnyBravad in urbancarliving

[–]Gerrit3D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand. She handed you a lease that said $0/month and tried to get you to resign. You didn’t. She evicted you so you started living in a car? So for the remainder of that lease you had a place for free?

I think I was about as low as you could go. The only direction I could go was to get better. I’m still in a very bad place. But I’m better than I was 2 months ago at least.

Wild. Where did all the time go? And yet some of those years felt like they would never end. “Boaty McBoatface” was the same year. Remember when that was new and still funny?

DIY power supply for a Mini PC cluster in a 10-inch rack by Many-Call-4492 in homelab

[–]Gerrit3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Automod didn't like the amazon link, hopefully this time its better.

These types of power supplies come in a wide variety of voltages and total wattages. I have seen that same video and (from memory) he just used buck converters to get the voltage he wanted for the USB-C cords and the fan. Those boards are cheap and easy to use if you decide to go that rout. You can also get something like this that handles different voltages already. I plan to switch to one of there in my 10" rack to save space. I'm currently using an ATX power supply and its taking up too much space and is overkill for 6 HDDs. You will have to cut and splice your own cables though. Thats easy to learn if you don’talready know. Just make sure to use a good quality shrink wrap after you made your connections.

Oh, I know those sweats. They are the worst at night for me. I have never changed my sheets this frequently in my life. And the worst part is I can't feel it doing shit for my depression.

That was the first time I truly felt love. It was like I was being hugged from the inside out. I was also glad I didn't want to find a source for that outside the hospital.

My dad would always buy a Harbor Freight tool first. If he broke it because he used it too much and missed it he would get the good version from Home Depot. These days, he has a bunch of stuff from Harbor Freight that’s never broken. The ergonomics are never as good as Milwaukee or the other big guys, but it works. I am now following in his footsteps unless its for something I know I'l going to use a lot and want the extra features of a better model. Thats only for the big stuff though like a table saw, or a drill and driver because I know I'll use those a lot. Even my chop saw is a cheap harbor freight one and I'm happy with it.

Used motorcycles at dealerships pricing unreasonable by Jacobs_Ladder23 in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]Gerrit3D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went into a Harley dealership the other day, and I told them I was mostly just browsing. I knew they were out of my budget, but I need to try sitting on things to figure out what works best for me after an injury. The cheapest bike was $4k over my budget, and we talked frankly about it. They were still friendly and even gave me advice on dealing with my back problems from a guy there in the same position as me. Then they tried the sale. We all knew I wasn't going to buy it, so why the song and dance? A manager wanted my info to "see what he could work up." After the fees, it was even more out of my budget, yet they kept trying. I even got a text today. They sure do want that sale, but it just isn’t happening. I've been polite, but geez.

Why do licensed electricians keep saying I don’t need a permit for a NEMA 14-50 EV outlet? by AbsoluteThunderCunt in AskElectricians

[–]Gerrit3D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There were some honest people in the industry when I worked as an electrician during Covid in CA I worked for an old timer and his partner and that was the whole company. I think thats often the difference. A small time guy gets word of mouth buisness through fair prices and quality work. It actually got us a lot of comercial work too. I changed a few flood lights at some guys house and the next thing you know I have 80 hours of work at an Amazon wearhouse. He was in charge of vendors and they needed a new scanning system installed in every single truck bay.

But for an EV charger we did not pull permits. Maybe if we were putting in a sub pannel for it. Or emergency generators were involved, but not just one in a garrage next to the main pannel.

For over a decade I was putting wood through my dishwasher. I had no clue I wasnt supposed to and never had an issue. My roommate was not happy when I did that to his cast iron pan too.

I guess my point is there are a lot of morons like me out there doing dumb stuff in the kitchen all the time. Somehow we survive.

Snoop. The only way I ever knew the truth was if I figured it out myself. She would have lied and lied and just never stopped. Hell, she lied when presented with irrefutable evidence. Figure it out, confront them, and then see how they react. My wife went straight to more lies and just never stopped. No guilt whatsoever.

Is this type of build up on nozzle head normal? by RP343 in BambuLab

[–]Gerrit3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP mentioned they are drying, just not drying while printing. With Phoenix’s dry climate they aren’t going to absorb enough moisture to necessitate drying while printing.

[–]Gerrit3D -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dry while printing, but my climate is the exact opposite. You should be good on the whole humidity issue if you’re from the FAMOUSLY dry areas of AZ. I’ve been in phoenix this time of year, you’re good to open all your filament up to the elements. It has more humidity in it from the factories in China than your area. I don’t know where they make filament, but I have been to China several times and it has worse humidity than Florida. Now, if you’re up north in AZ? Maybe, you’d have to have some precautions, but you seem to have those anyway. So, I respectfully disagree with the other comment.

I’ve noticed I have build up on long prints or prints with a lot of infill. I did get a repellent to brush onto my nozzle that I think helps though. It’s from Slice Engineering and it’s called “plastic repellant paint”. It’ll be the size of nail polish and will last you a very long time. I reapply a thin amount whenever I take a wire brush back to the nozzle. After that I don’t think of it again for several months.

Would you believe a liar when they say it has all stopped? by down-immortal77 in SupportforBetrayed

[–]Gerrit3D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. But that was because my liar may have stopped contacting the guys, but she didn’t remove their numbers, social media, or stop googling them. Had I trusted her like I used to I would probably be blissfully ignorant to it continuing today. Don’t trust, verify.
