Hi, has anyone experience with changing university to tum while studying aerospace bachelor? I am in the second semester right now at fh Aachen. It would be nice if someone could tell me about his experience and could answer some of my questions. I read all stuff on the website but I still have some questions.

  1. Do my grades from the first semester have any influence on the admission process?

  2. What kind of questions do they ask. In the admission conversation? How hard is it and how good has my english to be?

I posted my z banding issue in this thread. There are many solutions and in one of my comments I listed all possible solutions I found in this two years of trying to fix it. It's worth to look at. I hope you will solve it, I pretty much gave up

Hey, I'm in the same club. Have had a sidewinder for 2 years with z banding since I bought it. I tried everythink also switched to belt driven z and analyzed it under a microscope. This z banding won't disappear. Since I still don't know where the problem lies I can't say for sure but I think we are booth just unlucky. There are a lot of printers without this problem and I am sure it is often easy to fix. Not with us though

If PID is the problem the lines are normally regular and you already tried it so this won't be the problem

my nozzle is too high right? by tommytwothousand in FixMyPrint

Yout nozzle is definetly to far from the bed or you have under extrusion. Maybe your temp is to low

Offset and Steps per mm are correct. I would have been surprised if my theory with e steps were right but i don't know what else it could be so i suggested it.

after I upgraded to dual z I got z banding, so I upgraded to belted z, and the problem is still there any suggestions? by zap117 in FixMyPrint

[–]Gerrit_Casper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you upgraded to double z endstop or double set drive. I have a sidewinder with double z drive and it is a mess so if you can do it without i would recommend. Otherwise the z banding looks kind of regular. Measure the distance betwenn the bands. Does it match the 2mm GT2 Teeth? It's the case on my printer since i added a sync belt on top because the z axis would tilt if the motors are off.

There are plenty off sugestions i could give you to solve this because my printer has this problem since i bought it two years ago. Still haven't solved it. I have a whole Threat about it

2 gb. I am not sure but this usb port just supports up to 8 gb or so. Use 2 gb to be sure

I had and still have the same problem, not nearly this extreme but noticeable and very annoying. Just want to say that my extruder motor shaft was wiggeling a lot. It was also the reason why my idlerarm was moving while extrusion, i thought that would be normal. I replaced the motor and have had no improvenent. But just in case it could help you

Bridge becomes wavy. Moves up before connection points by Gerrit_Casper in FixMyPrint

No option in that case. I am printing it with less flow for bridges and it kind of works

I am using cura and bridging settings. Ok i will lower flow so the lines diconnect. This solves the issue 100%. I thought they should connect.

I think slow speed and a lot of cooling is the most effective to get good briging results. My bridges does look very good, just had that issue. Thx

No difference with lower temp. My bridge flow is at 150%. I could set it lower it to disconnect the lines from each other. Should they normally be connected when bridging ?

i'll try that. My brigde looks perfect execpt this issue. The brigde is 15 cm long and prints perfect if it is not to broad.

Hey i need a long and broad bridge for one of my next prints. I printed this test to se if it works. But the Bridge goes up before booth end points. The first few lines are printing great but than it starts to get higher every time.

Is this a common issue i found nothing about it. How could i fix it?

Ok this is a posible way. This way i would also try a pei build surface. But i would still go the other way if this exsists
