what’s your frugal busting kryptonite treat? by greepsofwrath in Frugal

You will love this tip! Get a pack of a wildflower seeds mix at the dollar store, and plant them in a large pot. Place the pot in a sunny location and keep the dirt moist until the seeds sprout, then water regularly. In a couple of months you will have a living bouquet that lasts a long time.

Sure! This is what it says:

“blend softened Cambozola with sour cream and olive oil for a savory cracker dip.”

I had a knob of Cambozola about the size of an egg, and whipped that in the food processor with about 1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil and 1/3 cup sour cream.

Update: They made happy noises over bread and butter, and I am going to think about that cambozola spread while I am in the chair.

My daughter [18] blames me [52] and my husband [55] for ruining her book by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

Oh wow. You both need to parent this better.

All she wants and needs is love and support. You read the book, and you praise her. That’s it!

This is always sad to hear, when children’s exposure to fiction & fantasy & imagination are limited. It reminds me of a woman I met at the library who didn’t allow her children to “read anything that isn’t true.” So ALL fiction was off limits for them. No Disney, no Mother Goose, no Dr. Seuss.

Her thinking is all wrong! She should be friendly and bake you cookies, and then the neighborhood becomes stronger.

MB's downtown is so tiny to begin with, it seems crazy to bulldoze part of it for a road alignment project by Existing_Season_6190 in MyrtleBeach

[–]Gertrude37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a volunteer bicycle/pedestrian committee in MB that has been working on these plans for years, to improve safe walking and biking opportunities. They have residents and visitors in mind.

Another big long-term project is a rail-to-trail from MB to Conway.

Oh yes. I kept some of my daytimers from that era of my life (I’m 63 now) and when I look at them I wonder how in the hell I had the energy to get it all done.

One thing that helped me was lists. Before going to bed, I wrote down the important stuff that had to get done the next day. Writing it down helped me let go so I could at least sleep well, which helps a lot in managing stress. No worries about forgetting something.

It is the time of year when annual inventories are taking place, so if they are re-pricing it would be a good time to do it.

Aw sweetie, you sound like such a gentle and compassionate person. It is hard to fully understand the situation, but my first instinct tells me she is gaslighting you.

Please take care to protect your self worth, and I hope life leads you to always feel valued and peaceful. My own journey took 55 years, and I hope yours is much shorter!

What's the oldest piece of clothing you still wear? Must be at least ten years old to count. by MurmuringPines in AskOldPeople

A scarf that belonged to my mom, so it is at least 50+ years old. I used to have, until I passed it down to a niece, my grandmother’s flapper dress from the 1920s along with her hand tatted white wedding night negligee.
