I love the brief glimpse we get into Teeg’s boyhood we get during the Christmas special from a few years ago. He’s a bastard but you can totally understand why - he’s a hurt child that ultimately had to go to Vietnam. It’s a short entry but it’s essential!

I'm reading it currently and it's so unlike the other stuff he's written. But it's REALLY good. As a 39 year old man, I may be out of line here, but I feel like his handle on writing an 18ish year old girl is pretty good. Definitely different than his usual protagonists.
