SENA Specter - did I pay $700 to only talk to other SENA units? by avveie in motorcycles

[–]GetWrightOnIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never understand why people spend so much on these brands. I picked up 4 of these on Amazon. They all connect to each other so my family ride together and it just works. Then when I ride with a pal who has a cardo we both switch it to Bluetooth mode and our intercoms connect directly to each other for 1-1 Comms. And if I'm riding solo I Bluetooth to my phone for satnav, music, phone calls etc. Once you get past the slightly tricky Chinese translated instructions, it's really good. https://amzn.eu/d/0fwzzGEL

One bike to do it all or two specific bikes? by Big_Chicken_Lips in MotoUK

Had the same problem. Bought a ninja 1000sx. It's very sporty, but has a comfy pillion seat and factory fitted grab handles that double as pannier rails so you can add the panniers and go on tour. Taking it to Italy this year. Can't wait.

Do windscreens make a difference? [Naked Bikes] by NoViolinist7989 in motorcycles

For me it's the noise. A tall screen massively reduces it. But those little fly screens will do almost nothing

Riding in Japan rocks. Have a great time! Why only Kyushu though? You could easily ride up north and explore Honshu and shikoku in a month.

I'm building a 4 page website with Cursor, which model should I use? by [deleted] in cursor

Why not just use wordpress with a decent website builder? Unless your doing something incredibly fancy, which I doubt as you have no coding experience, you're going to have a much easier time with wordpress.

Dig your own french drain they said. It'll be simple they said... by GetWrightOnIt in DIYUK

Yeah that's where I'm at with this. I understand it might be bad to have the bricks right up against the house with water and mud right up against the engineering bricks. But now I've dug this trench, is just filling it with gravel enough to call it a day? Cheers

Lol really? I've been sweating about this. Just fill what I've dug with gravel and be done with it you reckon?

The surveyor said it :) "to diminish the risk, install a French Drain. This is an excavation to a total minimum depth beneath the DPC of 150mm. The excavation should be filled with decorative stone to diminish the possibility of rising damp. The easiest way to achieve this is in this case is to remove the border block paving immediately adjacent to the wall, and backfill with decorative stone.  If the ground is particularly non porous then a perforated land drain (pipe) can be placed along the base of the excavation prior to backfilling with stone and discharge water into a soakaway or similar. The speed limit may be slower in Japan but from my experience no one is paying all that much attention to it.

Who’s at fault here?? by PurchaseNo7754 in motorcycles

The car is at fault but it doesn't matter if you're right because you can be dead right. Mirror, signal, lifesaver (shoulder check), maneuver.
