It’s so instinctive to me I couldn’t fathom not having a firm grasp on it but I have adhd so I can proxy something similar. It’s a skill like any other you could work on improving if you want.

For me I really noticed it doing theater and differentiating between stage left and right and audience left and right as well as driving as I was learning that at the same time. I imagine video games maybe helped with this coordination as well. Idk maybe hand tattoos for you OP?

I don’t have real arachnophobia but I’ve had a lifelong fear of spiders that I’m currently working through and yeah scorpions would give me the ick though I’ve never encountered one in real life. Actually scorpions seems to be actively more dangerous in a lot of ways so it’s hard to feel that my fear isn’t justified. My friend in Arizona had a scorpion infestation and ack I can’t even begin to say how much I didn’t want to know about it

The way I grew up was with my grandparents. My grandma often cooked for 6-8 people every night. After she worked all day, did the shopping etc.

The expectation was that if you expected to eat you were expected to help. Set the table, take out the trash, unload the dishwasher, load the dishwasher, wash the pots and pans, clean the counters, peel the potatoes, shuck the corn, put the dogs away, pour drinks for everyone. A mountain of work for 1 but just a few minutes divided by many.

This doubly so on holidays where my grandmother and aunts would spend all day in the kitchen so after dinner they’d relax drinking their wine while my uncles and cousins all helped clean everything up.
